| The incorporation of visual arts with music has not yet been defined as a genre and the concept of the combination of audio and visual content is still in its early stages. As these aspects have not yet been explored to their full potential, MNEMIC guitarist Mircea Gabriel Eftemie will build a new Interactive Performance System in relation to his studies at the University of Aalborg, Denmark. Commented the guitarist: "The project seeks to implement the artists’ visions by constructing a live performance application in order to enrich and expand the entertainment platform, but also to seek how to further establish an effective communication between performer and audience. As part of my Medialogy studies, I am simply trying to cross media platforms and create something new and innovative. I have a great opportunity to combine my academic skills and knowledge of the entertainment industry by implementing a platform and testing it with my own metal band, MNEMIC. Put in more simple terms, the band will perform with a dynamic canvas, displaying visuals manipulated by the band’s own audio signals. The style of the band will be reflected in the choice of effects and images that will be displayed. The very first beta-test will give usability results that have to be further analyzed. MNEMIC’s future performances will become much more dynamic, and the goal is to enrich the experience beyond the regular platforms of modern stage performances." Testing will be conducted with help from visual artist and old friend Lasse Hoile (www.lassehoile.com), who has been creating visuals and videos for such class acts as Opeth, Porcupine Tree, and many other touring bands. MNEMIC will enable imagery provided specifically by Lasse Holie for the performance. | Jackson Guitar’s Gothenburg-based rep Henric Carlsson reports that MNEMIC guitarists Mircea Gabriel Eftemie and Rune Stigart have officially joined the Jackson Bloodline family. “Danish metal dynamite MNEMIC came into the metal world with a bang in 2003 and has since then released quality album after quality album,” Carlsson said. “They’re now working on their new album, Sons Of The System, with their new Jackson seven-string models. | It’s about time we rise from the dormant and break the silence, to give you all an update from the Mnemic camp! Its been too damn long since the last update, which I must apologize for. First of all, a really late Happy New Year from the lads in Mnemic to all of you reading this. Since we took a break from touring in 2008, apart from playing a few shows with Metallica (Yes, I still mention this cause I’m damn proud of it!), things have been quite productive. We have definitely not been lazy, that’s for sure. As we did recharge our batteries, in this break, we also fell the hunger for creativity and started writing new material. Already by now I can confirm that we have 11 brand new songs written, and we are still a long way from finishing. The plan is of course to write as many songs as possible until we are 110% satisfied with all the material. For now the title of the album is set as: Sons of the System. Why is this taking so long you may ask? Because we want to be 100% satisfied with this release and not put out an album we just worked on two months in advance prior to the recordings. On the other hand, as the release date has not yet been set, I assure you, this will definitely not be a Chinese Democracy in the making. On a last note, we have quite a few surprises up our sleeve for this release….and as for touring, there will only be shows coinciding with the release of the new album, which means you’ll have to wait a bit if you want to see us live. | We are back from the rotten dead, finally with some great news for y'all. We toured most of last year, which was very fun but at the same time very exhausting for some of us, which lead to a minor break in order to recharge our batteries and reload our guns. We have finally regained focus and are now ready to bring MNEMIC back on the map. I know many of you have asked us when we will be back on the road again, when we will be touring the US, Japan, Australia and so on and so on... Thank you for all the requests! Unfortunately I can only say that there will only be one tour this year and a few selected shows. The tour will be in Denmark and it will be launched actually next month. The main reason is simply that we want to focus all of our energy on the creativity of the writing process for a new album - basically in order to make something solid, fresh and something out of the ordinary, within the MENMIC context and universe of course. This time around we do not want to be rushed, stressed or influenced by managements, too long tours and too many opinions. This time it will only be us, our opinions and our visions! | Hi everybody, Our sincere apologies to all of you who weren't contacted, before they were removed as a band member, moderator or before their band profile was removed. In advance Bebo checked the respective profiles that were being taken over by Nuclear Blast Records for inactivity. The policy of Bebo prohibits taking over active profiles without contacting the creator. So any profile, which was taken over without any notice to the creator, has not been accessed in a period longer than 3 months. In case our assumptions concerning the inactivity of your profiles were wrong, again our apologies to everybody, affected by this step. We hope you can understand the label's obligation to our artists, to maintain their copyrights and publicity. Hands down, you have made the biggest step of all, by creating really successful and beautiful Bebo profiles. Thank you very much, as well on behalf of our artists. Multiple unofficial band profiles, however, are quite confusing and not helpful for fans to get an update on the most recent news about the band.
