| Its time for a youth group ball... Race to your nearest op-shop (or parents cupboard) for old school gear. Grab some friends and join us for an awesome night of krunking to Lt. Funk... Saturday the 10th of October (last Sat of school holidays) @ North West Baptist Church, 67 Hobsonville Road from 7.30-11pm sharp. doors open @ 7.15. only $15 or $20 for door sale. to get tickets see Rebekah Robinson at Massey Hight (outside T-block on the stairs at morning tea and lunch) Chris Haines if your at Westlake, Mrs Davidson at St Dominics or get one from Sarah Davidson at youth group or church. | Easter Camp 09-The Faithful...How did you find it? what were your highlihgts? lowlights? what did god do in you over easter camp? what is sumthing you want to remember? what do you want to do after coming back from EC? who did sumthing so stupid/crazy? what michief did you or your group get up to? This is a space to reflect, discuss, encourage, share, and just write about nething and everything to do with easter camp..It can be long, short, or just a word. Its up to you. | God’s Rescue Mission Creation: In the beginning, God created the world. He made everything good. Fall: This however did not last, Adam and Eve ate the apple of knowledge. This meant that we were no longer able to have a relationship with god; we could now sin. Things were no longer good, the way god originally intended. Abraham: God made many promises to a man named Abraham. These promises included that he would have many descendants that would become a nation of Israel. This however seemed impossible, because his wife Sarah, was 90 years of age. Although, just like god promised ,Abraham and Sarah had a miracle son called Issac. God fulfilled all of his promises to Abraham. Exodus: God used Moses to led the Israelites into the promise lands. Judges: God sent a whole lot of judges to judge the people and to tell them they needed to change their ways-yet once again they did not listen. Kings: Israel wanted a king, so, god sent them many kings. Prophets/Exile: The Israelites were sent into exile. They doubted god and did not believe he would deliver them into the promise lands. God sent many prophets that told the Israelites to change their ways and to have faith that god would indeed deliver them into the promise lands, but the Israelites chose to ignore the prophets and not listen. Jesus: To save us all, god sent his only son Jesus, in the form of a man. Jesus showed us how to live god’s ways. He then died on the cross for all of our sins, to bridge the gap between people and god. This meant that we could now have a relationship with god and that our sins could be forgiven. Church: After Jesus death, Jesus disciples joined together-the church was born. End: We have hope that god is coming back. When he returns, everything will be restored in heaven and earth to perfect, how it was originally intended. This will complete god’s rescue mission and give us a perfect ending to a truly amazing story! | ||||
