	PLEASE COME AND JOIN US, STAND BEHIND OUR BANNER AND FIGHT TO SAVE OUR CHILDRENS HOSPITAL ICTU 'Better Fairer Way' campaign The ICTU campaign for a 'Social Solidarity Pact' to include job creation, job protection, an economic stimulus package and opposition to pay and welfare cuts and pension protection, is now gathering momentum and will initially focus on a national protest/demonstration on Friday, 6th November at 2.30pm. NATIONAL PROTEST RALLIES There will be eight official regional demonstrations taking place in the following locations on the 6th November at 2.30pm: Dublin Parnell Square Waterford The Glen Tullamore County Hall Cork Connolly Hall Limerick The Cathedral Sligo The Blue Lagoon Dundalk The Fairgreen Galway The Cathedral Lets get the largest turnout possible on the 6th! This time, not just private and public sector workers, but also the unemployed, and all those pn social welfare including pensioners, and all those in the community sector, which has also been savaged by cuts, all of us out that day. This time it won't just be a token 1-day stoppage and march to let off steam. The time for that has passed. It's just the start of a long campaign.

Reason for our protest to to demand that all closures be reversed. We want the theater reopened and also St Joseph's ward to also be reopened. "This Government is cutting everything they can get their hands on. Just €9.6 million is what it would take to put front-line services back into Crumlin hospital. 	On hearing in the news today that expenses our TDs have ran up come to the value of nearly 9.2 million. I want to go on record as a mother and a campaigner but most importantly a Irish citizen That i am utterly disgusted, I have been campaign for the right of our children to have front line services restored to Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin for the last few months, hearing over and over again how money has been wasted in this country by the people who we once trusted. No more will i believe the promises these people make to me as a irish citizen, No more should we the irish people sit back and let this farce continue. They tell us our country is in economic crises that we have to make cuts, They cut the health service for our children, they cut the education services for our children. But yet do they cut their expenses ? By what has come out in the news clearly NOT. This is why Save Our Lady's Children's Hospital Campaign will continue to fight for the sick children of this country. We will fight to have St Joseph"s ward reopened, we will fight to have the operating theater that was closed reopened. Prof Brendan Drumm promised myself and 3 other parents weeks ago, that the theater would be reopened. This has not happened, it still remains closed. as does St Joseph's ward. 	Hi everyone, As you are aware our campaign has been fighting hard to highlight the cutbacks to our children's hospital. But today our biggest challenge is to try get members of the public to stand along side us at our protests. When we had out flyers and shopping malls and schools and out in the streets, alot of people react with anger on hearing what is happening to our national children's hospital, But yet when the time and day comes for us to stand on the street and support all of our sick children, only a few do attend, Yes some people will say its hard to get people out on to the streets as they may think what good will it do, Well i will tell you what good it will do, It will show this government that we will not stand back as parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, grandparents, neighbors and allow the most venerable in our society OUR CHILDREN to suffer due to cutbacks to there hospital. I need to try make it as clear as i can, that the HSE will not listen to us unless we shout and shout loud. we need to get out on the street and be the voice of all the thousands of sick children in our country. This government can bail out banks and developers, but can not find a small amount of 9.6 million to put frontline services back into Our Lady's Hospital. So PLEASE i am asking you on behalf of all the children that attend this great hospital, come out and join us on our protests, we ask of only a hour of your time at each one. 	PRESS RELEASE I am mailing you today on reading from a daily paper that Brian Lenihan Plans to use taxpayers money to not only bail out the banks Here in Ireland, but now to also bail out foreign investors. We have been highlighting issues of cutbacks to our lady’s children’s hospital in crumlin for a number of weeks now, so I am sure you are all aware of what is happening regarding its current situation. So to think that our government is yet again laughing in the face of sick children is nothing but scandalous. Yes I say laugh as the day they voted against putting the 9.6 million funds into the hospital they patted one another on the back and shook hands and giggled with joy to a job well done. They are handing money over to BANKS and OVER SEA INVESTORS, While children are suffering, How can they now come out and justify This outrageous act , How can they keep ignoring all the parents who are on bended knees pleading with them to help there children, These are Sick children and in the irish constitution it states the government will provide in all areas for them, But again they are clearly breaking that promise while money is flowing trough to the people who made this country in the mess it is today, and now I will state again to OVERSEAS INVESTORS. 	I am mailing you today in dismay at hearing from a reliable source that Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin will be closing its out patients department for one week in August, one week in September and two weeks in December. This is once again going to cause distress to patients and parents who are fighting hard to have all services returned to Our Lady's. Prof Brendan Drumm said there was no need to make these cut backs and he would make it his duty to have all appointments arranged with out delay and to also have the operating theater reopend that was closed in may. Where is that promise we ask after hearing the news of yet more closures, this will with out douth cause pain and suffering to children who are already months on waiting lists, and for parents who had appointments for them to be cancelled.
