| As a friend and supporter of Gua Africa, I am hoping that you will consider sponsoring me for this event. Myself and a group of Gua volunteers are walking 10 kilometres through the Forest of Dean on !st December, regardless of the weather conditions! All money raised will go towards our projects in Africa. Our child sponsorship programmes provide a safe house and education for a group of ex-child soldiers and refugees, plus we have now set a target of sponsoring 50 children from Kariobangi School, which is one of the worst slum areas in Nairobi, Kenya. Money raised will also go towards our main project, which is to build a school and rehabilitation centre in Southern Sudan, in an area devastated by years of civil war. Our mission is to help with rebuilding the community, encouraging people to return to their homeland, set up small businesses and therefore lessen the dependency on foreign aid.
