It was a glorious day at the "Wellington Bowl" in the Phoenix Park. Trinity Pav, Trinity Buttery, UCD A, UCD B and the Dublin Sharks were all in attendence for what would be a great day of Football.

Results:

Game 1 @ 11am: Trinity Pav 25 - Dublin Sharks 19
A very tight and fast paced game, with the Pav scraping a victory thanks to a last minute Offside call against the Sharks.

Game 2 @ 12pm: Trinity Buttery 6 - UCD B 25
The Buttery certainly lived up to their name, dropping balls all over the field. An impressive UCD B went to town in this one sided game.

Game 3 @ 1pm: UCD A 6 - Dublin Sharks 19
Easy win for the confident Sharks, bringing their days record to (1-1)

Game 4 @ 2pm: Trinity Pav 19 - UCD A 6
UCD scored first, then the Pav ran away with it.

A great days football was had by all. A special thanks to Greg for comming all the way from the North to officiate the proceedings.

Our second match came against the Sharks, again! The South-East Strongbows failed to show at the "Wellington Bowl", so instead of the the mini-tourny that was organised, we took the Sharks on in what has to be our most fierce, and only, rivalry!

Tempers flared and there was argument a plenty from the sidelines as some of the Thunderbolts players got frustrated at the lack of skull bashing in flag football! A heated and tense game followed as the bolts took a commanding lead into the final quater, being up by 13 points at one stage. Maybe it was the wet weather, or maybe the fact that we chose to "bomb it" instead of play it safe and take the win, whatever happened, it ended in a bitter draw. The Trinity Sharks all time series now stands at 2 wins and a draw to the sharks.

Final score 34-34.

November 10th saw the Trinity Thunderbolts take to the field for the first time since the early 90's. It was an exhibition game against the Dublin Sharks.

Two games were played on the day, and both were decided on the last play of the drive. Unfortunately Trinity's inexperience in at the crucial 4th and goal to clinch the game was shown. The Sharks won 25-27 and 34-32. Getting our first match out of the way, It's a first step on the road to a Shamrock bowl!

There were some stand-out performances in the games, but Trinity MVP of the day, has to be awarded to Tom (affectionately know as Frenchy) He was constantly getting open and scored a hat-trick of touchdowns from his wide reciever spot, and also intercepted the ball at a crucial point, which set up the chance we had, to nearly win the game!

All in all, good work men!
