| The band would just like to place a short and simple mark of respect here for the late Willie Anderson of Hopeman, who played drums with the band in the 80's. Willie passed away on Boxing night, suddenly at a young age. He was great friends with all the boys, on and off stage. | Review of 2008 - Northern Nashville Caithness Country Festival as in Country Music and more magazine ( www.countrymusicandmore.co.uk ) "But the highlight of the whole weekend was still to come. I do recall writing this before, but there’s no getting away from it. The former Colorado, now known as The Jacks, stole the show – again! "From the moment Geordie Jack , his sons Kevin & Trevor, and Dado walked on stage, the roof just lifted. “We’ve Got Something To Say” kicked it all off, followed by more old Colorado favourites like ”Leave Your Backporch Light On”, “Driving My Life Away”, “Stories We Could Tell”, “Making Friends” and “Big Bayou”. If you’re thinking, all this has been said and done before, we were in for a surprise. Geordie brought his daughter, Nicola on stage, for her Jacks debut. It may have been her first time on stage with the band, but she was full of confidence. She sang “Pure Love” and “Luxury Liner”, and dueted with dad on “If I Needed You”, to a fantastic reception. She was back on stage for the rousing finale of “Back To Country”. They encored with their Irish medley, and, unprecedented all weekend, a second encore. They finally finished with “Texas When I Die”, with Geordie changing the words slightly to replace Texas with Halkirk! Geordie Jack keeps announcing his retirement, and, to be honest, this is about the only place you’ll see the band each year, but it’s worth the long trip just to see them play. Only Geordie and Dado remain from the high flying Colorado days of the 1980’s, but the music is still the same. It just gets better every year." By STEWART FENWICK | ||||

| Just a short and simple mark of respect, to the late, great Robert Sutherland 'Berty'. Talented accordion and harmonica player, who played with us on many occasions during recent years. Sharpest of wit and great in humour, he will be sorely missed. | ||||
