How would people feel about having two parts? The reason is that is was impossible to find decent plays with the exact number of characters as we have actors so we went over rather than under so some people, probably about 4 or 5 will have two parts. Feed back on this please

THE EMPTY CHAIR:
8 parts - all unisex

The setting is a counseling center for teenagers recovering from substance abuse. One of their peers, Robert, has just died of an overdose. Accident or suicide? The atmosphere is tense and uneasy. Finally, each young person speaks about his or her memory of Robert. The dramatic monologues tell us a great deal about each speaker and the terrors of drug abuse. Although Robert remains something of a mystery, his impact on the others is undeniable. This is a hard-hitting work with an emotionally strong anti-drug message. With its flexible cast and minimal prop requirement, it's ideal for contest use, touring or for any program dealing with the topic of teenage substance abuse.

BIG BAD - PLEASE, PLEASE READ!!!!!! (It's quite long)57 dagen geleden

Hey Guys

We realise that the end of tonight was a bit rushed and you didn't get the chance to ask any questions about the plays and the parts, so i'm going to put as much information as possible up here so you can re-think some of your 'favourite parts' decisions.

Also we didn't mention that even if the name of a character is male or female a lot of them are actually unisex and can be changed to the opposite so take that into consideration!!!!

This is the plot summary;

Big Bad is a smart and wickedly funny play. The most notorious criminal in the fairy-tale world, Big Bad Wolf, is being slapped with a class-action lawsuit by the countless quirky characters he has wronged. Now, the two greatest legal minds in the Enchanted Forest, the Evil Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother, will clash (on live Court TV, no less, with Sydney Grimm as commentator!) in a trial that will be remembered forever after. As Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother, the Three Little Pigs and the Shepherd in charge of the Boy Who Cried Wolf testify, the wolf seems deserving of all thats coming. But, even though the disreputable Evil Stepmother couldn't be less interested in pro-bono work on such an obviously futile defense, Mr. Wolf makes a good case for himself. Was he born a criminal, or made one? Perhaps he does deserve compassion instead of condemnation? What will the verdict be?

Here's the parts and who has so far put their names under them. Please comment if you would like to add or take your name away after having more information!!!!!!

The Fundraiser59 dagen geleden

Hey Guys

Fiona and I have decided to prospone the fund raiser as too many of you are away that weekend, also due to my family situation at the moment i am really busy so don't really have time to organise it properly. We still really want to hold it though so we're going to look in to availability in November.

So keep thinking up ideas that we can do. If anyone has any other really good fundraiser ideas other than what we can do at the fun day then let us know too.

See you all on tuesday

PRIORITY!!!!176 dagen geleden

Ok Guys!
We really don't have long now so you really need to make this show a priority. Get learning those lines and if possible it would be really good if you could meet up in your own time to go through scenes with each other.
A reminder that the next rehearsal is this sunday 12-4pm in the Church Hall.
I also want to remind you of the dress rehearsal on thursday 25th June at the Church Hall. I need you all there, no exceptions!!!!! It will also be the tech rehearsal so that you know all your light cues etc so is very important your there.
We can make this a success if we work hard!
