2009 and beyond....hace 335 días

Firstly we'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope you all had a safe and enjoyable one!

2009 is already shaping up to be an interesting year for the band! We've been locked away in the studio since mid-October working on a stack of new material. Some of which we are sure will raise a few eyebrows! (In a good way of course!)

We're still on the look for someone to fill the bass position permanently. We've had a few people pass in and out of rehearsals with us but as yet no one has been THE ONE! Still the hunt goes on......hopefully 2009 will be the year we find them!

Also we have been contemplating something big for this year......but for now we'll keep it under wraps! ;)

Thanks again for all your support!

First of all......A massive thank you to all our fans who came to see us on Friday night! I'm sure you will agree it was an awesome night!

We'd like to thank Last National Band - Great sound guys thoroughly enjoyed the set from them. Hopefully will have the plasure of playing together again soon!

We'd also like to thank Traquair - And commend him for not only standing on stage and blowing us away with his performance, but all that whilst nursing a broken leg! What a soldier! :D

As for Underwood? Well the night saw the welcome return of Stephen on the bass! You'd never have known he'd been away! Sure this won't be the last time we see him on the old 4-stringer!

It was a fantastic night for us. Huge crowd who had been nicely warmed up for us b our 2 ace support acts. Was good to see so many familiar faces out there and loads of new ones too!

It was a full band affair as we had said: Tony(Vox/Acoustic), Derek(Vox), Sandy(Guitar), Richard(Guitar), Stephen(Bass) and Paul(Drums).

The set was again a mix of live favourites and some newer material:

Chasing Reason;
The Stain;
Soar
Blood From The Knee Down;
As I am;
Rise;
Solitary Door;
I Am Unbound.

And as an encore a very extended version of Blind Hopin' Fools which went down very well with the fans!

Stereo proved to be a very enjoyable venue to play and hopefully we'll get a chance to play there again soon.

There is a short video been posted on the page. Just a snippet of set opener Chasing Reason. We don't know who has actually taken this and posted it on YouTube! If you want to own up please do and we'll give you some cred for it! Pictures will be posted asap, we're having some technical difficulties with em at the moment! :)

Once again THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME ALONG!!! Hope to see you at the next one! We'll keep you all posted! :D

Gig @ The Linen 6/3/2008hace 636 días

Firstly. Thanks to all who came to see us at The Linen!

It was a great night, a lot of good atmosphere in the venue, which always helps!

It was a slightly stripped down affair. The noise was supplied by Tony, Derek, Sandy and Richard. The Linen is well known for its great acoustics and this night was no let down!

The set showcased many our new songs, written since the recording of This Could Be Somewhere. The set was:

Worlds Fall Apart
Blood From The Knee Down
Solitary Door
Soar
Blind Hopin' Fools
I Am Unbound

Blind Hopin' Fools held a surprise for any Dennis Leary fans present as one of his most famous songs was bolstered onto the end of it for a wee bit of fun!

Once again thanks to those who we're there. Hope to see you at the next one! :D

Music from the vault!hace 838 días

Underwood have decided to upload 2 of their older numbers for your listening pleasure.

Bring It All Back Home and Legacy are examples of how the band used to sound roughly around the end of the 90s start of the 00s.

While its clear that both songs sound unlike any thing on the album they clearly still have many qualities which are undoubtedly Underwood!

The band line up at the time featured as always Tony(Vox), Derek(Vox), Richard(Guitar). And also featured Lukas(Guitar), Hilly(Bass) and Kevin(Drums).

Enjoy! :D

Some Unfortunate Newshace 839 días

Due to unforseen circumstances Stephen recently announced to the band that he would be leaving Underwood.

This is an unfortunate situation, and Stephen will be sorely missed. This does leave the band in the situation of being "Bassless". However this has not disheartened the band too much and they will carry on for now without a bass until further notice.

All the guys in Underwood would like to take this opportunity to thank Stephen for his time and his input into the band. However it will be his personality and sense of humour and friendship which will be sorely missed! We wish him well in whatever path he follows and hope that he won't become a stranger to the band!

:)
