| Monday, January 19, 2009 Hula hulooo heloo  Hey Everybody!! Another week... another illness it seems! I honestly dont know whats going on with me recently, i always seem to be stressed and i keep picking up illnesses all the time! Boo, i just wanna chill!!! Got realli sick the last week, my glands were big and painful and i had a fever aswell. I was recording alll week, and my voice didnt even sound like me, and it didnt even have a nice ill husky sound, it was just plain ill! I was really worried as i had a gig at the Pigalle club in london on friday just gone and thought i would have to cancel. Everyday it got worse and it got to the day of the gig and it was too late to cancel as there was only really me on that night! I had to say on the microphone, how i disliked it when people came on stage and made excuses for themselves... but i had to do it myself! Luckily, it didnt go to badly, and at least i didnt cancel the gig! Ive never cancelled before, and yes, i want a medal I performed a couple of new tracks, one of which is my new fave and it went down real well which is the best test to see if it works, so i was really pleased ! Im performing at the obama inaugaration tomorow eve at the indigo O2, im really looking forward to it as i have always been behind obama because of what he is pledging to do. And i have confidence in him as a president. I think its great that the whole world is celebrating and not just the US, as it really does affect everyone, and in a way, it brings all countries together aswell. And i think thats one thing we need to happen! Going to a gig tonight in brighton, my mates from chester fran and josh are touring with the paper heroes (they're on my top friends) They stayed over atmine last night and as soon as they got here (2am) they were playing the guitars, and we got to bed at 5am, they are very very talented boys!!! Im very much looking forward to their gig! So a week of mixed feelings, and very vivid dreams. I feel like my heart has broken abit this week, hmmm, and i need to just get on with things so it doesnt hurt so much. And also bricking it about tax that i gotta pay VERY soon, i think i might be a little pauper VERY soon  Perhaps i shall be a vagabond wandering around with my songs... saying it like that doesnt sound so bad! hehe i shall let you know how the obama gig goes! | Monday, January 12, 2009 Recent tings... I've had a fun week. I had a day of interviews for orange, channel Bee, holy moly and i went to the 5:19 show again which is always lots of fun! I performed an acoustic version of La la la if anyone wants to check it out... | Monday, December 29, 2008 Proper Crimbo Hey hey Im currently sat in my living room in chester watching gwen stefani in concert on tv enjoying the whole chilled out christmas vibe! Hasnt it been lovely, hasnt it gone quick!!! In fact this whole year has flew by! It feels like afew months ago since i was having christmas eve drinks with my friends! Man! Its been lovely to catch up with friends and get merry, and spend time with family... Had to bring my 2 kittens with me to chester as they couldnt stay in brighton over crimbo. Unfortunately the other cats in the household do not get on with them and thats because my kitty's came into the house ruling the roost and hissing, so they dug their own grave!!! But its all good Anyone got any good new year plans??? Im looking forward to next year ALOT! I have a feeling its gonna be a good year for me, well i hope so anyway My single is been played alot on the radio at the moment, its called 'la la la' you might have heard it already. Its always on the chester radio stations whilst im here, its really funny But funny in a good way! Its out to buy on download on 5th January, so it would be a GREAT start to the year if everyone can log on to itunes and purchase it! | Howdo So i went to do the MTV spanking new sessions a few days ago, me, my drummer elliot and my guitarist Andrew were going to be doing an acoustic session of La la la and Rudi skank....Simple, one would think! Cept, anyone who knows me knows that if someone gets the giggles, then it will immediately get passed on to me.... Thankfully, it wasnt live, it was being recorded, and we had to do the song bout 2/times each so they could get all the right angles etc... La la la went fine, and then it came to rudi skank, and elliot, who was playing something that resembled a speaker, had to do his "1,2,3.4" hand click again, so they had it in shot, something in that sparked him off, and after his 4th take of doing it without laughing, we then had to all do the song. This time whenever i went to introduce rudi skank it set me and eliot off, and then when we overcome that, his click set him off again, and then we did it again, and half way through the song i burst out laughing and couldnt contain myself, the director looked so darn happy about it! haha. its funny, most people would do everything in their power to stop themselves from laughing, but me, im diffrerent. My brain was on overdrive seeing the funny side in every lyric, every face in the room, my voice, EVERYTHING! We got it done in the end, im sure there are loads of funny outtakes, and it was a right old larff!!! I just hope it doesnt happen live on tv sometime.... Peas xxxx | ||||

| Oloha!! So ive been writing with Carroll Thompson the last week, we are recording a duet and wrote a nice ska tune and carrolls going to be getting some guys from the skatalites on the tracks, awesome! I was so impressed by Carroll, shes a great songwriter, has a beautiful voice and is SUCH a laugh Its been such fun working with such a legend and im really happy with what we've come up with so far! Last night i performed at 'reggae on top' at the troy bar. I was performing with the 'reggae vibes' band who had learnt my tracks before i got there, and we rehearsed everything in half an hour, i love how everything in reggae is so laid back We performed la la la, rush, mad about the boy, rudi skank and rollin' as thats all we had learned. Un fortunately i had to rush back after that as i had to get train back to brighton, but then everyone wanted another song.... and i had no idea what to do as we'd only learnt the songs we performed.... so i decided to sing 'summertime' as it came into my head last minute lol, think it went alright, but it was really funny because it was soo on the spot! After that, i went to get my train from victoria back to brighton.... the slow train back to brighton upsets me alot, when youre used to a 50 minute journey and suddenly it take and hour and 20, its upsetting! It was a weird train that the back half splits at haywards heath an goes to eastbourne, and the front 4 to brighton and then onto worthing. Now i usually find it impossible to sleep on journeys no matter how late it is,well unless im back from a raving sesh at 8 am the next morning... But on this occasion, i drifted off, in my tiny little mind iwas just waiting till we got to haywards heath and i knew it would stop for abit, but after a while, i opened my eyes, and thought how much the station looked like brighton station, and in a dreamy hze my voice was frozen and i couldnt find it in me to ask the guy next to me if it was brighton, but by the confused look on my face he told me anyway.... I jumped off with afew seconds to spare, feeling slightly sheepish! Lol, wouldnt have fancied ending up at worthing at 2am with no way of getting back.... so anyway drama over, and i should just get back in to not sleeping on journeys, its better for everyone|! Has anyone watched 'zeitgeist' the movie?? http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ i fully reccomened EVERYONE to watch it, you just stream it from the site, its the one on the right.... man, i went to a catholic school, got an A* in RE and now feel slightly fooled by religion, the pagans had it right man!
