| Denise Pearson lands lead female role in Thriller Live musical in West end | hace 325 días | ||

| Five Star singer joins Thriller Five Star were best known for Rain or Shine and The Slightest Touch Former Five Star lead vocalist Denise Pearson will make her London West End debut in Thriller - Live, a musical based on the career of Michael Jackson. She will be joined by Ricko Baird, who choreographed and doubled for Jackson in the You Rock My World video. Baird has also toured alongside the singer, whose hits include Bad and The Way You Make Me Feel. The show, which has already toured Germany and Holland, starts in January at London's Lyric Theatre. Earlier this month open auditions were held to find a young actor to play Jackson on stage. Five Star was made up of five brothers and sisters Three teenagers, all aged 13, were selected after they impressed the casting panel by singing the Jackson 5 hit I Want You Back. The opening performance of the show, which celebrates Jackson's career and features his hits, will take place on 2 January. The singer himself is not involved in the production. Essex group Five Star were a family group in the style of the Jacksons, scoring top 10 hits from the mid-80s including Rain or Shine and System Addict. | ||||

| Hi guys ! Was so good to see you all at the showcase with my sis Denise and the brill Tom ritchie!. I have been chosen to spend three week on the BBC on the celebrity scissor hands show where I will be taught hair dressing and learn more about beauty treatments. The show is run by Endemol and is a charity show so my services are all for children in need, comic relief which will be on the second week of november! I am really excited and endemol have just be so kind and fantastic to me over the past few months! I really can't wait to get back on tv and make people laugh and hopefully win the show! This will be the first time you will all actually see the real me ! I intend to be just my crazy self and have a blast with the other celebrities!. Hope you all tune in at some point to see me! | Dear Fans of Denise and Stedman (Formerly of Five Star) I have been asked to put a retreat together in a private location where you the fans can spend some real time with the REAL stars themselves and have a private showcase, seminars / presentations, questions and answer with your idols! A once in a life time opportunity probably mid –December 2008. Maximum 300 people can attend. I need your help in deciding what two options would be best for the fans? I need to work out the demand from the fans what option is best for you all A) Two to three day retreat with all accommodation, food and transport provisional cost £300 per ticket. | Dear Five Star Fans & the world l! Just to let you know that we are going back on the road yippeeeeeee!!! The dates are: Butlins 4th Oct Mine head 10 Oct Bognor 12 Oct Skegness 23 Oct Bognor 29 November Bognor We have provisionally marked around 20 dates for this year but will only post the dates when we have all the correct paperwork signed so we can avoid any disappointments. The show will be Denise, Stedman and three of our favourite backing dancers. Denise and I have asked Del, Lorraine and Doris to join us this year if and when they can and they are very welcome to do so but obviously everyone has their own commitments and we fully respect that. It would be lovely to have everyone back in our anniversary year and we would like to celebrate with you guys! - The fans !! I wanted to let you all know that the Five Star brand will be running through us five only. Denise and I have worked hard with both our individual management teams (Thank you to Jonesey, Paulette, Lee, Liz & Juliet) to put things back together and we have started to make the ball roll again! Please do not accept any fake or substitute websites as they can provide false information about Denise and me. There is a lot of speculation from other official teams but nothing will happen until I and my brother and sisters agree / approve it. There are no concrete plans just yet with Sony/BMG. We have spoken to the MD of RCA and he is looking at a possible anniversary project. We shall keep you posted. | I’m sure you have all read the papers by now and would like to say a massive thank you to all of the people that have sent well wishes via email and myspace, thanks guys your support is so lovely you don’t even know! I am finally finding my feet and am having a ball and wanted to thank my fans, my team, the police and press for being just so supportive, just awesome! The ‘You Tube’ video’s are going to keep coming and I will be doing some promo tours in the near future as well. I know some of you have been offended by me using the ‘N’ word. My family, friends and I have always used it and I’m not going to stop now. If you find this offensive, please accept my apologies it isn’t supposed to offend anybody you are just seeing the real me for the first time. It is used only an endearing term not a derogatory one! I want to help bring down the racism barrier as the Political Correctness, nowadays it is just ridiculous. Myself and my manager Jay (Jonesey) want to set up and organisation where we will tackle some of very hard topics and points that go start in schools and then into real life. I have been offered a position with the police as a role model / speaker for young groups, something I wished I would have had whilst at school. I am going to accept so that I can make a difference and help build a bridge between races and help others understand this world and the people around them. My family and I found being in five star very enjoyable but at the same time some days proved bloopy hard. Constant pressure and negative attention gets you down after a time. You really have to be a super group to deal with this and looking back we were. I am closest to my sister Denise who rarely goes on record and stays out of the limelight for now but is my biggest fan. I love you denz, you have given me so much love and support. Doris and Lorraine just want me to get out there and ‘do my thang’! And my bro is just tha bomb as always! Denise wants to say ‘I am 100% behind Stedman and his team’ and I thank her for being the coolest sis on earth! There are various odd myspace’s that pop up here and there but hey it all adds to good PR for the family we are and the group you guys love. There are currently no avenues happening at this time. I have been trying for a while to put together a docu –series of my life with Jay for the main TV networks but there’s a lot of red tape for all parties and it hasn’t happened yet. There are really cool stories and some behind the scenes material that I want to share with the fans and the world. I start filming next week and will be posting parts of the documentary on you tube until Jay secures the right deal for us all. My story is my unique point of view and being the eldest I remember the most about my little sisters and brothers and home life. I also really want to thank my family that never get mentioned, my uncles and aunts and cousins. Again your support is so brilliant and I can’t thank you all enough.
