| New tracks online 1st December | 376 dagen geleden | ||
| Howdy howdy.... Cobra Kai here. Well the debut EP "The Perfect Plan" is recorded, mixed, mastered, and almost ready for release. We are going to have a proper CD release hopefully sometime in the next month, but we will be officially releasing the tracks online here on Monday 1st December.... check back Monday and see what all the fuss is about.... Other CK related news: * We're now veterans of the Aberdeen music scene with a grand total of 8 gigs! Moorings x 3, Tunnels x 2, Drummonds x 2 and Moshulu once. * We've sadly parted company with our guitarist Drew so the search is on for a replacement. * We won the first round of the Drummond "Battle Of The Bands" competition, so we're into the semi final, which will take place some time in January. * We're taking a bit of time off to train a new guitarist, and to write some new stuff so we'll probably be off the scene until into the new year. Love Lucky Rathen x | |||

| Guitarist wanted | 671 dagen geleden | ||
| Hello, We're looking to add a second guitarist to our band. Male or female. 21+. Should have own equipment, be able to play some fairly straightforward lead parts, keep time, be creative and help out with songwriting. Must be able to commit to at least one 3-hour evening practice a week with occasional recording sessions as well. Must be prepared for practises to descend into 'hilarious' versions of old metal songs. Gig experience preferred but not essential. A bit about us: We are currently a 3-piece. We have a full set list worth of material written and practiced and we are ready to gig now - however we would like to add a second guitarist before we gig to take some of the responsibilty off me so I can concentrate more on singing. We have all gigged in other bands so we are all fairly experienced. Our influences are The Cure, Alice In Chains, Placebo, Soundgarden, Radiohead, Muse, Smashing Pumpkins etc. You can hear 2 of our songs here - under the 'Songs' bit. On the left, dumbass. We are recording 2 more this weekend so we'll have 4 up soon. If you have songs written we like, we'll happily incorporate them into our set as well. If you are interested please send an email to thecocacolakid@hotmail.co.uk Thx The Cobra Kai | |||

| Well as I said before the last recordings were a bit ropey, so we've re-recorded some of the vocals and the guitars, a little touch up here, a little touch up there, and they're sounding a lot better. These are the finished versions. Have a listen. Big kudos to the boy Cocker for all his hard work..... Thx The Cobra Kai | |||

| Hey all, just a quick note, we've uploaded some new songs for you to enjoy. "Sins Of The Flesh", and "In My Shoes". They're both home recorded and sound fairly rough, and I'm going back to re-record some of the vocals as they are ropey as fuck in places (I was hungover when I recorded them), but these will keep you ticking over till we get them finished properly and uploaded. See ya Ryan | |||

Greetings Cobra Kai fans, tonight we recorded a live version of "Sins Of The Flesh" for your enjoyment. The sound isn't that great as it was recorded on a little digital camera, and some of the levels of the amps are a bit dodgy, but it'll give you a rough idea of what we sound like. Apologies for all the flat notes in my vocals! Oddly enough, they sounded note perfect while I was singing them.... Ryan | |||

| Some facts about The Cobra Kai. | 835 dagen geleden | ||
| The Cobra Kai once sold their souls to the devil in exchange for some new drumsticks. Shortly after the transaction was finalized, The Cobra Kai beat the shit out of the devil and took their souls back. The devil couldn't stay mad and admitted he should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday of the month. The Cobra Kai use ribbed condoms inside out, so they get the pleasure. A Cobra Kai fan once asked them “How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?” The band then shouted, "HOW DARE YOU RHYME IN THE PRESENCE OF THE COBRA KAI!" and ripped out her throat. The Cobra Kai wear explosives strapped to their chests which are programmed to go off if they hear a mistake during a song. The Cobra Kai's ex-guitarist played a wrong note once. He was instantly detonated. Anyone within a hundred mile radius of the blast went deaf. The original format for Transformers was actually "Cobra Kai - robots in disguise! Cobra Kai - more than meets the eye!" and it starred The Cobra Kai as musicians who defended the earth from Decepticons and could turn into pick-up trucks. They would then finish the show by rapping. This was far too awesome for a single show however, so it was cancelled. It was once believed that The Cobra Kai actually lost a fight to a pirate, but that is a lie, created by The Cobra Kai to lure more pirates to them. On the 7th day, God rested.... The Cobra Kai took over. Although it is not common knowledge, there are actually three sides to the Force: the light side, the dark side, and The Cobra Kai. The Cobra Kai drink napalm to quell their heartburn. A duck's quack does not echo. The Cobra Kai are solely responsible for this phenomenon. The Cobra Kai do not use spell check. If they happen to misspell a word, Oxford will simply change the actual spelling of it. The Cobra Kai do not wear watches - THEY decide what time it is. | |||
