| Interview with BB6's Maxwell! | 507 giorni fa | |||
| How you doing Maxwell? I'm good thanks, I'm a bit sleepy. But's it 2.15pm! So what have been up to for the last three years? Well, when you come out of the House you go to nightclubs and do loads of PAs. You meet other housemates and they say: "I'm working on my album". The only album they're working on is a sticker album. You have a year or so of that and it's a good laugh. But I'm not that busy right now. Well look at me, I'm getting up at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. It's been a lot of Jeremy Kyle and This Morning for a couple of years. Sounds brill. Anything else? I got really fat for a while. That was nice.</b> Lovely. Was that when you went out with Saskia? Well, we rented a flat together for six months after the show ended and decided we got on. Then we bought a place - and decided we didn't get on! That was a good move. We were getting paid to go out and get drunk. And we lived above a McDonald's. So we just got fat together. I'm alright now though. I'm slim again and I've got a tan, so at the moment I look a bit like a pepperami. Tasty. Yeah, chicks dig it. So when did you and Saskia split up? About 18 months after we left the House. But we carried on living together for a year after that - which was fun!! We had a dog together so we stayed together for him. But he could tell there was tension in the house. What a sad end to a beautiful Big Brother romance. Is the House a good place to pull? It's probably one of the best places to pull in the world. Birds can't get away from you. They can't even call the police. So it's great. Dale was trying pretty hard to pull Jen. What advice would you give him? Well it's good to pull, but don't ever get in a relationship with anyone. If I hadn't got with Saskia, I would have definitely won that show. It was because people didn't like her. If it wasn't for that I would have had a couple of hundred grand in my back pocket and chicks would have been all over me. As it is, chicks aren't all over me and I'm skint. There are some nice new ladies in there though . . . They're doing the same to Dale as they did to me. When Saskia left they put Orlaith in, who was well fit. I felt I couldn't be friends with her because I didn't want it to look like I was trying to crack on to her. I've seen the way Dale is with the new girls, he's not talking to them much. That's exactly what I was like. My advice would be: "Look mate, don't mug yourself off. Don't be a drip like I was." So should Dale and Stuart try to pull or not? They should probably get with one of the birds and make a bit of money, but nothing serious. Stay single and enjoy it. You get treated like royalty when you come out, especially up north. They love it. Saying that, those two have got about as much personality as my big toe. But Dale genuinely liked Jen - and you really liked Saskia too. Is there something about the House environment that gets people loved-up? Yeah, you do get really close to people really quickly in there. I became a drip and I can see Dale doing the same. Do you like this year's housemates? They're good looking, but they're too boring. They don't seem to have a laugh. I quite like Darnell. Rex is all right but last time I watched he was boring everyone senseless talking about restaurants. I wouldn't have got on with Belinda or Dennis. All these theatrical people, dancing around. It would have done my head in. Our year was the best one. Can you see another romance like yours? I can't really see it, unless something happens with Dale and Jennifer when he gets out. I think she'll want to get with him because he'll be more popular. Has the show been kind to you, Maxwell? Would you like to go back? Definitely. I wouldn't change it for the world. If they asked me to do it again - naked, I'd do it! In fact, if they invited any other ex-housemates back and I wasn't involved, I don't know what I'd do. I'd cry my eyes out. Well, you never know. Big Brother wouldn't tolerate you getting up at 2pm though. | ||||

| Mario: Evicted! | 507 giorni fa | |||
| Davina: Were you to be evicted? Mario: It was a tough shot to call. You never know who's gonna win and who's gonna lose. Davina: Your Fan Club... where were they? Mario: (Laughing) I haven't got a fan club. Davina: Who do you think nominated you? Mario: Rex, Mohamed... B Block. Mario and Davina watched the nominations that led to his eviction. Davina: Any surprises? Were you surprised Rachel didn't nominate you? Mario: Yeah. Davina: She loved you. She thought you were a really nice guy. Mario does not reply. Davina: Ricky Gervais is a fan. Any idea why that may be? Mario: No . . . Mario and Davina watch a clip spoofing 'The Office' in which Mario bears an uncanny resemblance to David Brent. Mario: (Laughing) I still can't figure out what you're getting at. Davina: What was the deal with the Health and Safety? Mario: It was initially about Mikey. I was very passionate about that. Davina: How frustrating was it being with younger, less experienced housemates? Mario: Not everyone was less experienced... like Rex The Chef. Davina: You love Rex. Mario: (Laughing) I do. He's on my Christmas Card list. Davina: You and Lisa were very physical... you spend your whole life exfoliating.. Mario: We've got more skins than an onion. Davina: Was it hard to get intimate in the House? Mario: It was just the puppet shows. They were pretend. Davina: It must've been hard. Mario: It was hard, yeah. Davina: Very hard? Mario: (Laughing) That's a leading question... Davina: This week, for the first time since you went in, you had a pop at Lisa. Why was that? Mario: I'm very protective of her. She washes up and does everything. She doesn't see everything else that's going on. Davina: Who do you want to leave next? Mario: Belinda. Her heart's in the right place but her snoring isn't, Davina: How would you sum up your time in the House? Mario: When you walk through those doors it feels amazing. For me, personally... fantastic. Davina: Any regrets? Mario: No regrets. I did the Health and Safety for Mikey. Davina: Mikey was fine without you for years before this. Mario: But he hasn't been in the House before. Davina: One last question. Mario. Have you ever been to Italy? Mario: (Laughing) No. | ||||

| Interview with BB8's Ziggy! | 507 giorni fa | |||
| How are you Ziggy? I've had a great year. I've been very lucky. I've had the chance to go travelling with work because of Big Brother. I look back and I have no regrets whatsoever. It's been a lot of fun. What is it like living in the House? It's hard. It's tiny. It is a claustrophobic environment. Did you feel you went in as 'The House Heartthrob'? I was put in a position that went against me. People immediately thought "who the hell does he think he is? He's going in with ten girls, he must think he's something special." It wasn't like that. Actually, that's a bit like Stephanie this year, she was put in a tricky position. How did that affect your behaviour in the House? I was extremely self-conscious... which is not how you should be in the House. Do you think Dale and Stuart are in the same position? Yes and no. They are both attractive guys but because I was put in with only girls it's completely different. With those two there are similarities between Liam and I but we didn't really have that rivalry. We got on. Would you get on with them? I don't really know. I thought Dale would be a bit more lively and have a bit more to say. They're just normal lads, I'm sure I'd get on with them. Is Dale genuinely attracted to Jennifer? It's hard to for me to say if it's real or not. You want company in the House. It's an uncomfortable place. What advice do you have for anyone in a relationship in the House? The biggest problem is worrying what people on the outside think of you. Dale said: 'I think Jennifer's trying to make a mug of me'. You shouldn't care what people think. People see through it. They saw through me. I didn't realise I showed it that much. My friends said I should have let myself go a bit. Could you give any advice to Darnell, Luke, Michael, Mohamed, Rex to improve their chances with the ladies in the House? I think they need to improve their chat a bit don't they? (Laughs.) That's it. Simple as. Do you think Stuart would move in on Lisa now that Mario is evicted? Ziggy: I don't think so. They have fitness in common but that's it. I haven't really sussed Stuart out yet. You would've thought he'd come in and make a massive impact but he's just settled in. Do you have any tips for the housemates? Just enjoy every moment. It's a great experience. Don't take yourself seriously. Be humble. Do you have a favourite housemate? Darnell seems nice guy. Mohamed's harmless. Mario's funny. He reminds me of David Brent. He's always got a bit of advice. Luke was my favourite but he's a bit too bitchy. As soon as he gets the chance he speaks about people behind their back. You can only do that for so long. The audience isn't stupid. You know what? Steph should've stayed. I'd choose her over loads of people in the House. Stuff would've happened with her in there. | ||||

| Interview with BB7's Suzie! | 513 giorni fa | |||
| How was your Big Brother experience? I had a wonderful experience in the Big Brother house. It's very difficult to quantify it. But it really was quite an amazing trip, because when I arrived, I really did think that everyone liked me. But I was mistaken, they all hated me! Every one of them hated me! How do think Stuart felt going in as a late arrival? When I heard there was a new housemate going in - I didn't know whether it was a boy or a girl - I really did feel sorry for them. I thought, "Oh, you poor, poor thing!". But after seeing Stuart! What a narcissistic chap! I thought he'd have no problem walking in there! But actually since he's gone in, he hasn't actually been quite so big headed. But you really need that type of attitude going in late because otherwise, the housemates will just crush you! How do you think the housemates felt about Stuart's arrival? It was really strange the way the girls were mad about him but they guys weren't so happy. And I thought it was the funniest thing when Dale said, "He's quite ugly isn't he". That really take the prize for most jealous comment of BB9. I'm surprised he didn't say he was fat while he was at it! How do you think Sara, Maysoon and Belinda will settle in It's going to be very difficult for them to become part of the group because they are so clique-y. And you must remember that after four weeks of being stuck together in that house, they have become tight little groups. Do you think Jen and Dale are for real No I think she was more into Stuart! She did have that little thing going on with Dale for a while, but was that for the magazine deal? Oops! Did I let the cat out of the bag for her?! Who do you think is the most guarded housemate? Stuart! He's been in there awhile but in that time, he's changed considerably and I've noticed that he's not allowing anyone to get close to him he;s even pushing the girls away and he seems to be kind of playing everybody and he's deciding where he's going to put himself in the group when he needs to come off the fence. I'm beginning to quite like him because I think he's one smart, shrewd cookie and definitely one to watch . . . . | ||||

| Sylvia:Evicted! | 519 giorni fa | |||
| Davina: The reaction of the crowd was quite severe, even by Big Brother standards. What did that feel like? Sylvia: I think I was really shocked at first, but I just tried to blank it out and focus on getting here and enjoying it. I'm a bit nervous. Davina: Who do you think nominated you? Sylvia: Possibly Kat, Lisa, Rachel... possibly Mohamed, and Rex. Davina: You had nine nominations: Luke, Darnell, Kathreya, Lisa, Rachel, Mohamed, Rex, Michael and Mario. Who are you most upset about? Sylvia: I'm a bit surprised about Luke. I thought he was sweet, but he's not. I actually thought he was my friend. We had late night chats and things like that. I'm quite surprised about Darnell too. I thought he was my friend as well. The rest of them - I'm not really fussed, to be honest, because I didn't really spend that much time with the rest of them. Whatever. Davina: We saw Mohamed saying "One minute she's my friend, the next she's not" - do you think that was a fair comment? Sylvia: Mohamed just didn't get me and I didn't get him. The jokes about him liking me, I just didn't appreciate it. Davina: You didn't fancy him, but somebody you did fancy was Stuart... Sylvia: Did I?! Did I fancy him? Davina: [shows Sylvia a clip of her flirting with Stuart] I'm so feeling your pain! You embarrassed yourself. Sylvia: [laughing] I'm feeling my pain! I can't believe I did all that. Wow. It was as if I'd lost my mind. It was just pure lust on my part. I'm just ashamed of myself. In that enclosed environment, you get carried away sometimes. You don't think about the outside world most of the time. I think I got lost in the moment. Davina: If he had responded, would something have happened? Sylvia: No, no, no, no! I was just being friendly. It wasn't like that! Davina: Let's talk about Stuart and Jen. What's happening there? I'm seeing the look of love in her eye. Sylvia: She told me that she doesn't like him in that way. And he told me that he's not in there for a relationship with anyone. I think she quite likes Dale. Davina: I think, like you, she was in lust for Stuart. Sylvia: He does have a good body. Davina: What was happening with you and Dale? Sylvia: Nothing. He's just my mate. He's one of my close close friends. Davina: You said to Jen that you wanted to have a go... Sylvia: I just said it to see what her reaction was. I really don't fancy Dale at all. Davina: You were acting very odd. Sylvia: You just get really bored in there and you have to do something. I can be odd sometimes, and I apologise, people! I'm a very complex woman. Davina: What effect did Dennis' removal have on the House? Sylvia: Myself and Jen were totally devastated. He was someone who was so fun and he lifted everyone's spirits. I thought he was one of my best friends in there, and I got to know him on a very deep level. When he was removed I felt shattered, but I understood why he had to go. Davina: I can understand why Rex would be annoying, and Mo eats a lot of food - but you guys hate those two! What's up with that?! Sylvia: I don't really hate anyone in there. Living with Rex, he's really annoying. He can be quite controlling. He wants things done exactly his way. Talking to him one-to-one, he's lovely - but living with him, he was really annoying at certain times. Davina: It's not obvious to us. It seemed like a pack mentality. What about Mo? What's so awful about him? Sylvia: He eats all the time, sleeps all the time... He's like a big kid. Little things he does just annoy people. Davina: How would you sum up your time in the House? Sylvia: Amazing. Fantastic. I would not change anything. I was just being myself. Davina: Who do you want to win? Sylvia: Dale. He's a genuinely nice guy. He doesn't do anything wrong. He's besotted with Jennifer | ||||

| Dennis:Ejected! | 519 giorni fa | |||
| Housemate Dennis McHugh has been removed from the Big Brother House for unacceptable behaviour. A number of housemates were involved in an argument at approximately 12.45am this morning (27th June), which resulted from a prank played by Rex that ended in a picture painted by Jennifer being slightly defaced. During the argument Dennis spat in the face of fellow housemate, Mohamed. Big Brother intervened immediately to break up the argument. The 'as live' streaming from the house on E4 was cut and no footage was broadcast. All the housemates involved in the argument were sent to separate bedrooms and kept apart for the rest of the night. Dennis and Mohamed were called separately to the diary room in the early hours to discuss the incident. After production staff and executives at Channel 4 reviewed the footage this morning, Dennis was called to the diary room a second time at 1:15pm and told he was immediately being removed from the house. Following Dennis's removal, Big Brother continues to call to the diary room a number of other housemates to discuss their involvement in the argument and remind them of the rules governing housemates' behaviour. A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: "Spitting in someone's face is seriously offensive and Mohamed was understandably upset. Big Brother has very clear rules about offensive behaviour. Like all housemates Dennis was clearly informed before entering the house that he faced eviction if he acted in an unacceptable manner." Viewers will be able to see the incident and how it was handled in tonight's highlights show on Channel 4 at 9pm. Tonight's eviction vote, involving Mohamed and Sylvia, will proceed as planned. | ||||

| Interview with BB2's Helen! | 524 giorni fa | |||
| Have you been watching this series of Big Brother? Yeah, I have been a little bit, not all the time. It's good that it's on in the morning when you're getting ready, and I also always watch the Friday shows. They're the most exciting. Which is your favourite housemate? There are a few I like: I like Michael, because he seems quite nice. I quite like Dennis, though he can be quite irritating at times too because he's a bit narrow-minded. And of course I also like the Welsh girl, she's really sweet! Rachel - I can never remember all their names, there are so many of them. Who's your least favourite housemate? I don't like Mario - he's got such a fat neck! He really loves himself - I'm like, 'Oh my God!', you're watching and you're just cringing, going 'Oh no!' He loves himself so much - and the things he says! Like the other day, he said 'We're going to have a fan club when we go back home', and I was like, 'That is horrific!' He's good to keep in though, and I like the interaction between him and his girlfriend Lisa - when they're jumping in the bedroom, it's a bit like, 'Aww!' What do you think of a couple entering the House for the first time? I think it's good to have something a little bit different this time - it's a good idea. Who do you want to win? I don't know yet, it's a bit too soon. I don't think there are any definite winners. In BB2, people would say, 'You could see Brian was going to win - he was a big character,' but at the moment, I don't think you could pick anyone and say 'Yes, they're going to win'. We need some drama or something to happen. Who would you least like to see win? Sylvia. Oh, I hope she goes on Friday. She gets on your nerves! Do you fancy any of the housemates? No! Come on, they could have done a bit better. That new guy who went in - Stuart - he just loves himself so much. He's not even that hot, he looks like he wears mascara! I think the House is missing a few hunky boys. Dale and the rest are too poncy, and too bothered what they look like. Would you like to go back in the House now? No! Would you do it for a million pounds? Noooooo! What advice would you give this year's housemates about Big Brother if you could? I'd say not to expect too much. If they expect a lot when they come out, they're going to be disappointed. I just had nine weeks of sunbathing, it was lush! I'd say just have a really good time, and just take it for what it is and enjoy it. Jennifer and Dale look like they might be about to start a romance in the House. Would you advise them to go for it or to steer well clear? Oh, I don't know! I don't think they will, because I think Jennifer's quite a strong independent woman, so I think she'll feel like she doesn't need Dale or anything. But it's one of those things that you just can't help - 'cause you're in there by yourself, if you find someone that you get on with and connect with, it's not so much that you find them attractive, but more that you really get on with them. But I don't think there'll be any romance like in years before. What was the best thing about being on Big Brother? Probably the tan! It was a very good tan - I've never had a spray like that since. And coming from Wales, I was quite naïve, and I think it was a good life experience. The best thing was just having a good time, and becoming a better person, and becoming more independent. And what was the worst thing? I can't think of anything bad. Lack of chocolate, not seeing my Mum, no mobile phones and not going out on a Friday night and getting ready with all your friends. I remember saying in the House, 'Shall we go out tonight?', and then replying, 'No, let's just stay in!' How has your life changed since you went on? It hasn't changed that much really. I'm still hairdressing. It's just that people recognise you and go, 'I know you from somewhere', and it takes them a while, and then they go, 'Oh you're that girl, aren't you?' and I say 'yeah!' I'd just say that your face is recognisable. I wouldn't say it was a bad thing, going on Big Brother, 'cause I enjoyed myself. But I do think that if you're not a nice person, that will show through. So if you could have your time again, would you go on Big Brother? Yeah, I'd definitely still do it! How do you feel now about your romance with former BB2 housemate Paul Clarke? Ooh, I forgot about him! I definitely wouldn't change having had the romance, I think it's just one of those things that didn't work out, but we enjoyed the time we had together. What does the future hold for you? Well, I'm still doing hairdressing, which I love, and I wouldn't be any good at anything else! I get to make people feel better, and I get to chat to them. I still do a little bit of TV work and personal appearances, I call it my 'moonlighting', but my main thing is hairdressing, enjoying myself and taking life as it comes. | ||||

| Alexandra:Ejected! | 532 giorni fa | |||
| Davina: I know it's been a couple of days but what you have been up to? Alexandra: Hotels, I did an interview with Heat, lots of people have been trying to get in touch. For me the media will always try to turn things, which is why I'm here. Alexandra: What a lot of people fail to realise is that when you watch Big Brother it's a whole days experience. That was three different conversations put into three minutes. A lot of things Darnell had said about Tottenham and I said "I know things about Tottenham". Davina: The fact is that your housemates in the house see you un-edited. Their concerns, worries and fears is how you landed yourself here. Alexandra: People can look at it how they wanted, I lived in the house with them and I never felt anyone felt threatened by me. I spoke to everyone every day... I never felt like I was bullying with these people. Sometimes my points maybe could've been put across in a better way. Davina: Well saying to somebody that "I like to be a threat to people". What does that mean? Alexandra: That was taken completely out of context... If somebody looks at me and it's not threatening but a threat, there a difference in that. Davina: I'm looking at you now and I'm seeing Miss Alexandra, cool, calm and collected -- and yet the Alexandra I saw in the house was definitely intimidating. At times the word "bullied" was used. Alexandra: My theory is, and my theory in the house was, that if you have a problem with somebody -- you tell them (referring to Chip-gate). Alexandra: Bex is a grown woman . . . Davina: She was only trying to help . . . did you say thank you? Alexandra: No, 'cos the chips were disgusting! Davina: Does it not upset you that your behaviour had such an upsetting effect on your friends? They all wanted to be your friends. And it was weird and impossible for you to be so. Alexandra: If someone was upset I was the first person to console them. I was very compassionate with a lot of the people in there. That kind of vibe of me wasn't as focused on as much. People say aggressive, I say assertive. People say bully, I say bossy. Davina: But there is a difference. Alexandra: The way I see it is that I'm not going to play the hard-life card... but it's natural for me to defend myself. If I feel like people are coming against me I get very sensitive. With the argument with the chips I was speaking to Becs and then I had Rachel in there saying "now hang on a minute Alex". Davina: You had nine nominations and 87% of the public voted for you. Can you see why these people would be voting for you? Alexandra: Yes I suppose it looks completely different to me living in the house and living it. These people were living with me 24 hours a day. They saw me at my best, my worst and my worst was focused on. Davina: The thing is your behaviour really affected the housemates in there and affected the people on the outside as well. Do you have any regrets about the way you behaved? Alexandra: To be honest I always said if I ever get in the BB house I will always be myself. When you are in that house it's very claustrophobic and there is no way of moving on instantly. Davina: Have you learnt anything? Alexandra: Yeah, I've learnt I'm a lot more hot headed than I thought. And sometimes you can just raise your voice without going at the point really, really hard. Davina: Are you prepared to look at that. Alexandra: Yes I'm prepared to look at that within myself but I always knew that before going on the show. Davina: And that's a good thing. | ||||

| Alex Has Been Removed From The House! | 534 giorni fa | |||
| Housemate Alexandra De-Gale has been removed from the Big Brother House for repeatedly breaking the programme's rules on conduct by behaving in an unacceptable and sometimes intimidating manner towards fellow housemates. Alex was in discussion with Darnell in the living room shortly after 10.15pm yesterday evening (17th June), with a number of other housemates in proximity. Discussing her nomination for this week's eviction, Alex was heard to make apparently intimidatory comments about her intentions on leaving the House. Shortly afterwards, Dennis, Rebecca and Rex discussed her comments in the garden and were clear that they found her behaviour to be threatening, a view that Rex repeated subsequently during a Diary Room discussion with Big Brother. This incident follows a series of arguments involving Alex since the ninth series of Big Brother started on 5th June. She has twice been called to the diary room and reminded of the rules governing behaviour towards other housemates. There has been a strong negative reaction from viewers to Alex's behaviour with Channel 4 having received a significant number of comments since launch. Her latest remarks were not screened via the 'as live' streaming on E4 but were reported up to senior production staff. In consultation with executives at Channel 4 the decision was taken to remove Alex from the house on the grounds that she had repeatedly broken the programme's rules governing housemate behaviour, despite twice being reminded of her responsibilities. Alex was called to the Diary Room at approximately 6pm on Wednesday 18th June to be informed of the decision and was removed from the House without further contact with other contestants. The remaining housemates were informed of Big Brother's decision at approximately 8pm. Alex was one of two housemates nominated for eviction this week and as a result, in line with the terms and conditions covering phone voting on Big Brother, the latest eviction vote has been suspended. Angela Jain, Head of E4 and Big Brother at Channel 4, said: "Alex has said her comments were not intended seriously and has apologised, but those comments will be widely interpreted as having been intended to intimidate. Big Brother has very clear rules about housemates conduct and that kind of behaviour is simply not acceptable. Other housemates have said they found her comments to be threatening and we believe that is a reasonable conclusion for them to have reached given the way Alex has behaved previously. She had already been spoken to twice about her behaviour and, like all housemates, was clearly informed before entering the house that she faced eviction if she acted in an unacceptable manner." | ||||
