irn-bru = the best soda ever!929 giorni fa

IRN-BRU IS THE BEST SODA IN THE WORLD
so yea were back from scotland, and the first thing that hit me when we all got off the airplane was the smell of urine in the air...i was home.
lemme just start off by saying irn-bru is the best soda ever, edging out mountain dew code red. and the people of scotland are off the hanger!

the flight from az to newark, new jersey wasnt too bad (although the 4 hour delay sucked pretty hard), watched the pursuit of happiness, not a bad movie, almost made a gangster cry, i held it in with all my might. from newark to scotland was the crappiest long-iest flight ive ever been on(pile on a 1 hour delay), 6 hours of boredom, although casino royale wasnt too bad, we left newark at 7:30 pm monday, and we got to scotland 7:30 am tuesday, it trips you out something fiendish!

our first week was filled with alot of schools and some churches, and piled on top of that was us teaching the kids how to play drums, bass, guitar, at first the kids was teaching drums werent getting it but at the end they all started playing just as good as larry, maybe even better! so that made me feel so good to watch someone else getting some sort of success and excitement out of a instrument that i love!

the kids at the shows were energetic and hyper, and everyone loved our t-shirts, and i must say all the other bands with us, (this daily summer, and heath michael bottomly) did an amazing job playing, and jeff's bands songs were stuck in my head the whole 10 days i was there, lol. andrew played guitar for us, and drums for everyone else and he just made everyones music sound so much better, he's such a bamf!

(im just rambling on at this point so alot of this wont be in any sort of order or make sense at all, im trying to remember as i type)

somehow during these shows i got the "energetic" label put on me which is weird, but i guess i got that from a couple of our shows. during the beginning of the song everytime where i try to get everyone to clap by flamming on my snare came up i noticed some people werent doing it, and i had just had a can of IRN-BRU so i was hyper and full of energy, so i decided i would jump of my drumset and run into the audience and clap with them, it was fun and made some people laugh. also during the song jeff came up and gave me a gummy pig (forgot the official name of the "sweet") so he fed it to me while i was playing, lol, also i gave matt (player from tds) some IRN-BRU during theyre set. oh good fun.

the pub shows were pretty awesome, people really liked everyones stuff there and everyone there wants to buy you a drink, or the bar owner gives you like 30 red stripes cuz youre in a band from the US.

im trying to think of other stuff to tell you guys....um we met some really cool people there who went to all of our shows, one of them being derek, and adrian, justin, yvonne, Gary (thanks for reminding me). we sold alot of our merch, (gave away too many at the schools to get the kids all riled up and hyper, cuz everyone likes free stuff!!) we'll post some pics later when brad feels like it (cuz he has mostly all the pics of us playing and stuff)
everyone who went on the trip with us were pretty cool.

it rained just about everyday in scotland and i got to wear my sweaters all the time, and we all played some b-ball for hours.

also, we had a celidh (kay-lee) which is pretty much scottish line dancing, and that is off the chain!!!

*well enough of that, if you guys have any questions feel free to ask and as always, we will answer them.

we should be wraping up the recording process pretty soon, hopefully in july. until then were gonna have some live bootleg cd's for dirt cheap, if anyone is interested.
were gonna order more of the white shirts and get a new t-shirt design going (let us know what color shirt you guys want)

ok bye
