	The Core 11 Truths: The Doctrinal Basis	984 dni temu
	The basis of the Fellowship shall be the fundamental truths of Christianity, as revealed in Holy Scripture, including: 1. There is one God in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. 2. God is sovereign in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement. 3. The Bible, as originally given, is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is the supreme authority in all matters of belief and behaviour. 4. Since the fall, the whole of humankind is sinful and guilty, so that everyone is subject to God's wrath and condemnation. 5. The Lord Jesus Christ, God's incarnate Son, is fully God; he was born of a virgin; his humanity is real and sinless; he died on the cross, was raised bodily from death and is now reigning over heaven and earth. 6. Sinful human beings are redeemed from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death once and for all time of their representative and substitute, Jesus Christ, the only mediator between them and God. 7. Those who believe in Christ are pardoned all their sins and accepted in God's sight only because of the righteousness of Christ credited to them; this justification is God's act of undeserved mercy, received solely by trust in him and not by their own efforts. 8. The Holy Spirit alone makes the work of Christ effective to individual sinners, enabling them to turn to God from their sin and to trust in Jesus Christ. 9. The Holy Spirit lives in all those he has regenerated. He makes them increasingly Christlike in character and behaviour and gives them power for their witness in the world. 10. The one holy universal church is the Body of Christ, to which all true believers belong. 11. The Lord Jesus Christ will return in person, to judge everyone, to execute God's just condemnation on those who have not repented and to receive the redeemed to eternal glory.

	Our Vision	984 dni temu
	We are a university society with a vision that people within our campus will come to trust and love Jesus Christ, and so be rescued from being separated from the loving God who gives us all good things. We're all bad people by nature who have confessed to God that we are sinners. Jesus took our punishment for us by dying on the cross. We have been forgiven and are being changed by God. We meet on a Tuesday evening to have teaching and training relevant to our mission and to keep offering ourselves, as a team, to God by singing worship and with lots of prayer. It's a great way of supporting and encouraging each other week by week. The aim is 'proper friendship' which lasts and is not superficial. We welcome anyone whether or not they call themselves a Christian. There are also 2 weekly campus prayer meetings. It's a serious mission but expect a-laugh-a-minute, lots of pranks,parties and good banter. We are from many different backgrounds and cherish the diversity we have. We are all committed to 11 core bible truths which can be found on our main site, www.rgucu.com. We go out in pairs to try and talk to people on campus and share the exciting news about Jesus. We also put on events to address difficult life questions and present the Christian message in a clear way. We apologise in advance if we ever treat you like 'grapes to be picked'. We can't apologise for being keen because we long to see more of our friends, coursemates, flatmates and staff celebrating in heaven! We believe that God is the creator of the universe and deserves our worship - as a society, our ultimate aim is to honour and glorify Him in all that we do.
