	This year a different ball will be thrown in Thomond Park when Limerick’s most glamorous and elegant annual charity and social event, The Saffron Ball, will be held at the newly built Thomond Park on Saturday 18th October 2008. It will be the first non-rubgy event to be held in the new venue and with over half the available tables already sold, it won’t be long before it is completely sold out! Guests will be the first at a charity ball in the new Thomond Park enjoying wonderful food, wine, “Most Glamorous Lady” prize, raffle, auction, celebrity MC and celebrity after-dinner speaker. The Saffron Ball 2008 is in aid of CARI with proceeds going directly towards developing their new child therapy house on the Ennis Road, Limerick and funding their associated services. The evening starts with exquisite canapés and cocktails before a 6-course banquet where each course is prepared by one of Limerick’s leading restaurants including the Mustard Seed, Moll Darbys, Marriott Hotel, Hilton Hotel, Clarion Hotel, Radisson SAS Hotel, the Wild Geese and Adare Manor. This Gourmet Extravaganza’s culinary aspect is co-ordinated by Pat O’Sullivan of the renowned Masterchefs Hospitality and the incredible menu will bring culinary expertise to the fore with the Mid-West’s leading chefs showcasing homegrown Irish produce. LIMERICKnow magazine will sponsor the “Most Glamorous Lady” prize The prize will be a handcrafted and beautifully designed jewelry piece from Otazu Ireland. The auction, includes a signed pair of boxing gloves donated by Limerick Champion, Andy Lee and a priceless Munster Jersey signed by the current Heineken Cup winners 2008. An extensive raffle with fantastic prizes will take place before our surprise celebrity after-dinner speaker takes to the stage followed by dancing ‘til late to the 16-piece swing band, Brass & Co. 	CARI Annual Gala Ball - 18th October 2008	Il y a 480 jours
	On 18th October 2008 CARI will be hosting its Annual Gala Ball in The Shelbourne Hotel. The Shelbourne is one of Dublin’s finest hotels and we are very proud to host our ball there again this year. Tickets are available from CARI Dublin Fundraising Office and are priced at €250.The CARI Ball is an excellent opportunity to entertain valued clients, family and friends. It will be one of the most exciting nights of the 2008 social season. Previous guests who attended the ball include: Bertie Ahern with his daughters Georgina Byrne and Cecilia Ahern, Yvonne and Ronan Keating, Louis Walsh, Alan Hughes, Laura Bermingham, Mary Coffey, Ian Galvin and Oonagh and William Doyle from Newbridge Silverware. CARI aims to provide a professional, child therapy and counselling service to children and families who have been affected by child sexual abuse.

	DATE FOR YOUR DIARY On Friday 6th June 2008 Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh will host the CARI Mid-Summer Seaside Lunch in Barracuda Restaurant, Bray. The afternoon will begin with a drinks reception after which guests will enjoy a delicious four course lunch with wine in Bray’s seaside venue. After lunch, a fun filled afternoon comprising of a spectacular auction and live entertainment. Tickets are €125 per person or €1,200 for a table of ten. All funds raised from this event will go towards ensuring that CARI can maintain and develop their therapy, support and helpline services to children and families who are currently awaiting our services in 2008.
