Lovefest is over for another year. Thanks to everyone who braved the rain and soberiety. It was wetter then a fisted pornstar squirting yet dryer then the worst bout of cotten mouth. A parady for jimbo to sort out I think. Karen got some great photos and vids. That cumcumber worked wonders!!! Sound was great, bands were brilliant, crowd was terrific (fucking legends).
Limerick next week! Who's bringing the bong?

Thanks to everyone who came out to support us for the G.P.O Battle of the bands. It was a bonding expieriance between us all. Haha. Seriously, cheers guys! Pat was acting camera man for the porno so special thanks for that! We made it through to the next round, admittidly by default (None of the other bands showed up) But fuck it! A win is a win in my book.
Swinford next week so see ya there.

Hi all, Burma shave would like to thank everyone
who came out to support us and show some love in Freds last Friday night.
Those who traveled with us to cork, those living in cork who offered a
place to stay and those that partied with us afterward!
Of course a big thank you to mike and homeless, for the
continued support, and organization on the street!! Keep up the good work! All the members enjoyed the week end, niall got pierced, moss got pissed, wayne and simon met the funniest fucker ever, and jimbo got lost!! shits and giggles!!
and last but not least thanks to Karen, for running around, camera in hand, taking pics, and vids! !

27/03/2009: BURMA SHAVE AGREE TO HOMELESS RECORDS RELEASES

Galway metallers Burma Shave yesterday agreed to release material through Homeless Productions' record label spinoff, Homeless Records, over the course of an album and two E.P.s.

Over the past number of years, Burma Shave have earned new fans wherever they have gone with the right mixture of passion for stagecraft and musical innovation, and their distinct brand of metal (if such a narrow term may be used), makes them the perfect fit for the beginning of our label.

The first of these releases is an as-yet-untitled E.P. comprised of the band's existing material, to be remixed here in Cork with the assistance of the Homeless Productions crew.

Homeless Records has been in planning stages since early 2007, and to the end of getting the label set up, has invested in a full recording set-up for an in-house studio, soon to find a permanent home in Cork. Distribution of the label's material will be through digital platforms, and limited CD & vinyl releases.

A full website, plus social networking pages, are currently in development.

New tunes up on the page, They're are some old and new recordings I found laying idle. Call it an album sampler. There rough around the edges but give them a few listens; in a sober or non-sober frame of mind (The latter is a prefrably experiance) but make sure you play LOUD!

After six hours of driving we end up in completely obscure part of the world. We caught up with Simon Fox, Burma Shaves Guitarist. Heres what he had to tell us!

"Oh god! Fucking Killer bees everywhere! Run ya bastard! RUN!"

4 hours later.......

"We're still in recording and writing new shit. We've had some intense jam and writing sessions over the last few weeks. Nearly all the music tracks are either written, recorded or at root level. We have started to vocal some tracks but not too intensively. Rather like a docile tortoise.
To me to is some of the best shit we have ever written. Musically i feel we are very tight. The riffs are crunchy and the whole sound is a lot more technical. Its a bitch sometimes to get the energy of the overall song onto record but theres a good vibe lately, thats crucial, that was missing for a while. I can't wait to get the fuck out and gig man!
"We have Gigs in Galway, Cork and Limerick soon and I can't wait"

Big shout out to all the cool motherfuckers we've met on the road lately. You Rock man!!! We'll be playing regulary over the coming months with a brand new album due out before the end off the summer (Bout fuckin time). We promise it will make your ears orgasm.
We're having the time time of our lives and we will continue to tear up these sleepy Irish stages and give you a live show you'll want to see again and again.

The gig on the 25th is in fred zepplins in cork city, and were just waiting on full detail for the 19th... but anyone mad enough to come with us is more than welcome... should be good old laugh...

Burma Shave play in The Celler in Galway this Thursday, 13th March. Admission is free as far as i know. Theres a few bands and a comedian too , me thinks!!!!! come along.m very good introduction to paddys weekend promised!!!!!
