Boyle Outed In Bebo Picture Scandal749 giorni fa

Détentes guitarist Kevin Boyle is today waking up to a media frenzy surrounding pictues placed on social networking site Bebo.

Pictures were placed on a "close friends" of Boyle's page, showing him participating in lewd homosexual acts, some even includiding beastiality and scat elements. Mr Boyle was identified as the culprit as in one photo, he is seen holding a Delays cd. (He is known to be their only Irish fan)

Most of the content has been removed, however some of the less graphic ones can be found here:
http://www.bebo.com/PhotoAlbumBig.js...

Bebo owner Michael Birch had this to say on the matter: "Yeah, I saw some of the photos that we had to remove and to say the man is worse than a paedo priest would be the understatement of the century. I mean if a kid ever saw these, you'd probably have to shoot them just to save them form the psychological damage."

The Détentes, who have recruited 27 new members since their last practice in August have remained quiet on the story with only guitarist and singer Brian Stephenson giving the following quote to NME following the bands shock ommission from the 2007 cool list: " It doesnt really shock me to be fair, I mean he was never that popular with the ladies. Like we use a ranking scheme similar to the way pitchfork do with albums and i cant remember the guy ever scoring a 5 or above. And sure up in the house during the week, he'd be doing all sorts of queer stuff, you know stripping inappropriately and stuff. I dont hold it against the guy, but the truth was always gona come out."

In other band related news bassist Garret Cleland and singer Stephen Gibbons were seen on a dangerous binge drinking session in Drogheda on Saturday night. Gibbons is known to have distributed garments of clothing to unsuspecting night-clubbers whereas Cleland was involved in a near fatal incident involving a gate.

BRAY760 giorni fa

Popular rock group the Détentes have hastened to defend their lead singer and guitarist Brian Stephenson, who was this week labelled "a flaming homosexual" by certain members of the press, promting the creation of the term BRAY, a hilarious mixture of the words Brian and Gay to form a town in the North of Wicklow.

Bray's band members have stressed a complete acceptance of their frontmans desire for male ass. Lead guitarist Kevin Boyle had this to say:
"Like in fairness we always knew. There were countless nights when Brian and his illicit immigrant lover Pedro would be loudly banging in the bed next to mine. Sometimes he would bring him to band practice, and the two would slip away for some afternoon fanny banditry. But like we never judged him for it."

Rumours began in the summer of 2006 over an alleged sexual encounter with jerry fish at the Oxegen music festival. Stephenson is quoted as saying:
"I only ever scored once at a gig, and it was Jerry Fish!"
Stephenson has so far been unavailable for comment and is thought to be hiding in Seville at the residence of Pedro Dominguez, a 28 year old interior designer, whom Brian met at a Pigeon Detectives concert.

What is next for the singing queen and his band is still unknown, with neither an album, ep or even a song having been released. The Détentes, however, still remain one of the most contreversial and exciting talents of our generation.

Leaked news on upcoming single.885 giorni fa

Not only was two new samples leaked to The Détentes bebo page last night but also lyrics were leaked from the upcoming single 'Beaten By A Woman'. These included "years of abuse, i like the excuse, and i also like juice". Phrases such as "wooden spoon", "bruised like a peach", "licking brown finger", "black veins", "pea in Urethra", "court clerk" and "Craig" also were leaked. The song seems to be a respect piece about this man called Craig, a member of the gay community.

A rat arsed Gibbon934 giorni fa

The contreversial rock group The Détentes are again in the news, following the behaviour of keyboardist Stephen Gibbons.
Gibbons (19) was seen in several locations acting under the influence of alcohol, or as one witness put it:
"pissed up on happy juice".

Gibbons made an appearance at the exclusive nightclub Fusion in Drogheda, where he was seen falling around the place, vomiting and making outragous claims, like he invented the question mark. He also denounced Jesus Christ as a mainstream act, suggesting that our Lord sold out with the walking on water thing, a simple act of showboating.

Questions have now arisen as to whether or not Stephen will be included in the bands summer tour of Westmeath. The other members of The Détentes have so far been unavailable for comment.

In other news, the Détentes bake sale was an overwhelming success, bringing in well over 12 euro. A special word of thanks to Mrs. Murphy, whose apple tart went down a treat.

When four became five993 giorni fa

The Détentes proudly announce the addition of Stephen Gibbons to the award winning band. Gibbons, who turns 19 soon, has long been a fan of the bands work and won a national art competition to become a member. He did a finger painting of his family outside his house, narrowly beating seven year old Jessicas picture of a tree. Stephens photograph can be seen on Kevins profile. Stephen is well known for his mixing and producing ability and for his rip off of the music industry with cheap, poor quality CD forgeries. Band member Garret Cleland was noticably overwhelmed by Stevies inclusion in the band, as he reacted with a "Its good, yeah". Similar reactions were seen from Boyle, Stephenson and Dunne.

Just like bummy1016 giorni fa

In 1988, the births of four Drogheda infants seemed an inconsequential act. Nurses and doctors alike tended to these children as they did any others. Little were they to know that the little naked children they were touching, would go on to change musical history.

18 years on from the original birth a whole new genesis is beginning. It is a musical one. Deriving inspiration from Arctic Monkeys, Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Manics and Johnny Logan, (amongst others), The Détentes have begun the process they playfully describe as 'world domination'. With an E.P looming and their debut album in the pipeline, it is conceivable that this Drogheda band will become the new Irish supergroup.

Quotes on The Detentes:
Tom Dunne – Today FM: “Their music brings saliva to my tongue and a redness to my ears”
Bono – U2: “Their loike…..you know…..i mean,…..so passionate….remember Vertigo?……..please just 2 euro a month”
Kofi Annan - UN: “Someday world peace will be called The Detentes”.

When Martin Luther King had a dream, The Détentes were it. When Gary Coleman questioned Willis on what exactly it was he was talkin bout, it is likely that Willis was talkin bout The Détentes.

Brian Stephenson – Vocals
Kevin Boyle – Spoons, Bongos,
Garret Cleland – Synth, keyboard, cling film
Wayne Dunne – Accordian, Dustbin lid, Own testicles

Alright, you've probably seen this and are wondering who or what the fuck are The Détentes.

The Détentes are the brainchild of 4 rather drunk people. In an hour of beer fueled confusion, four talentless teenagers decided to form a band that would shake the music industry to its core. Music Noir, if you will. After much persuasion on both sides a fifth member was then added. Unfortunately one of the original 4 then left (over a dispute involving Rock, Paper and Scissors) and so the number became four again. While the 4 prepare the melodies that will change the music world forever, all you can do is wait. Because perfection takes time... and this could take a while

The Détentes are:

Kevin Boyle (Guitar)
Wayne Dunne (Percussion/Vocals)
Brian Stephenson (Vocals)
Garret Cleland (Guitar/Manager)
