Hey everyone, sorry Havent updated the group in while. Been busy with xchool and such. Well, i just uploaded a ton of new screens for Sonic and the Black Knight. As you all know, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Chronicles are now out and both have been getting mixed reviews overall. Fans seem to realy like Sonic Unleashed and Chronicles, but they are both pretty mixed between critiques. (Although most critiques dont like the 360 version of Sonic Unleashed.)


Please everyone, tell in the comments what you think of the two, and if you are exited for Sonic and the Black Knight.

Hey all you sonic fans. If you are a subscriber to Nintendo Power magazine, then you might already know this. But they have given Sonic Chronicles a score. They gave it an 8 out of 10. That is kinda what i expected from the critiques. The full review is in the Sonic Chronicles 2 album.

Also, Nintendo Power finally has some good info on Sonic Unleashed for the wii.
New scans are in the Sonic Unleashed 6 album.

This is a recent interview from Bioware.

When PALGN asked Dorian “If Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood is successful once released, will there potentially be a sequel?”

Dorian replied “I would be surprised to see Sega refusing a sequel opportunity if the game is indeed successful! In any case, our team is definitively ready to work on a sequel. We even have a precise idea on what to do next if this were to happen… And if you play the game, you might find some hints on what that idea is.”

OMG!!!

Even before hearing this, i kinda thought there would be a sequel or to anyway.
I have the game pre-ordered and I will have a review posted as soon as i finish the game ( which will likely be about a day or two after the release in America)

Cant wait ^^

Sonic Chronicles is Finished!!Il y a 459 jours
 
Sega and Bioware just announced that they are completly finished making Sonic Chronicles. The game will be released on September 30th in America and on the 28th in Europe. And in honor of the game being finished, Sega has realesed a mini-game so that you can sharpen up your skills before the release of the game.

Well i just took a trip to the sonic stadium and saw an interview from gamesradar and after there demo of Sonic Unleashed the werent so thrilled. Here is what they had to say.


"Sonic Unleashed plays like a highly polished retrospective, remixing elements of Sonic Adventure, Sonic and the Secret Rings and the original 2D games. The only problem with that? Only one of those elements was any good in the first place. So while the 3D, into-the-screen sections control fairly responsively and with much more flexibility than the blue ballistic’s Wii debut ever offered, they still fall victim to the “Am I actually playing this?” syndrome inherent to the 3D Sonic games."

"Automatic speed boosts, springs set up in unavoidable positions, grind-rail after grind-rail… Yet again we just set Sonic running and left him to it. And worst of all? The 2D sections we’ve been so excited about worked the exact same way in this particular demo. And don’t even get us started on the werehog combat sections. We didn’t get to play them, but they looked painfully sluggish and made up of some of the most generic platforming we’ve seen in ages 6/10."


Me, well i still havent played the game so i dont realy know what to expect. But complaits aside, i am still truely exited for Sonic Unleashed

Hey everyone its tailsthefox24 here. A brand new gameplay fotage video of Sonic Unleashed was realesed today on www.campsonic.com . Now, after watching this video i was convinced even more that this game may be the greatest 3d sonic game of all time. Well you know that boxart of Sonic Unleashed that i put up, well turns out it is the real deal. I know this because today i was just scrollin through the sega website and there it was. THE BOXART. Hey all you sonic fans sorry for the wait on this review, i thought that i must unlock everything before i could get the full experience. And i think i have a good idea of what this game has to offer. Ok i did some research and it turns out that sonic riders 1 was one of the best selling games of holiday season 2006 so of course they would make a sequal to make some extra dough. And i think making money was the only point of this game.

Now if you are fermilure with the first game then you probably know that some fans liked it, some fans absolutly hated it. Me i thought it was ok but it was to short and there was not enough replay value, but still i did pop it in from time to time. As soon as i herd of this game i did have mixed feelings. Now i do not know anything about the ps2 version this is the wii review so i dont know what the diferences between the two games are.

Story: the story starts off tails, sonic, and knuckles are just driving down there futuristic world when they here about some robots going crazy and not following orders and tails tells his team about a ring looking thing that he found the night before and the robots try to steal it from them and they discover that it has weird gravity powers. But as most people know the story in a sonic game is never all that important so i wont talk about it to much

Gamplay: Now all of the modes from the previous riders return as well as some new ones. The new features are some new battle modes and multiplayer modes, plus new characters, new gear and leaderbordes online. The gamplay is similar but not exactly the same as riders1. This time around there is no air stops, beacuse u never run out of air, to do a trick all u have to do is press the jump button, and there are new gravity controls. Now there are 3 ways to control the game. 1: You can hold the wiimote sideways (like in secret rings) or you can hold it strait and piont to control ( i don not reccomend this way) or u can use the gamecube controller. personaly i thought the gamecube controler was the bast way. The story mode is very short and after a couple of grand pris the game becomes pretty boring.

Design: The grafics in zg are practicaly identical to the first eccept the stages. You would think that the devolopers for the wii version would put the wii to its full potential but they did eveything but that. The design in this game prety much falls flat for a wii game. :(

Overall: this game was realy fun for the first month i had it. After that i prety much just quit playing it. So if your a die hard sonic fan and thnk that you need this game i reccomend you rent it first.

now im not a huge tennis gaming fan but i thought that would all change with this game coming out. i thought it would awsome to control sonic in a tennis game. and i had lots of fun with this game...... for a while. the truth is that this game is a great deal,..... for $30.00, but for a whole 50 and 60 it is not worth it. this is game is just a normal tennis game with a few twists but it is not near as wacky as mario tennis. it was very fun at first but after a couple of days i just wanted to take it out and play ssbb. now there is your basic single match and tournament, but there is also some mini games but none of them diiserve any attention. in superstars mode it tells u play a tournoment and after that its just a bunch of pointless mini games over and over again. there is alot of unlockabe characters, some ive never even hered of. if your a sonic freak like me you might just think the game is worth your money because its got sonic characters in it, but please just take my advise and wait until the price is lowerd. or at least rent it first

The game appears to be a 3D sidescroller, similar to Sonic Rivals and Sonic Rivals 2, with occasional shifts to on-rails gameplay camera behind Sonic much like Sonic and the Secret Rings. A speed meter can also be seen in the bottom left corner of some screenshots, but whether this has any major gameplay impact has yet to be seen or announced. Also, it seems that there is a ring meter which acts like the "Tension Gauge" in Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure, which was used for speed boosts. It is uncertain how the style of gameplay will change due to Sonic's apparent contraction of lycanthropy.
