THE RGU:UNION ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 1ST MAY 7.30pm!Il y a 234 jours

The RGU:Union Annual General Meeting is the most powerful decision making body within the Students' Association. Any Matriculated RGU student can attend the AGM and can submit an item of business to the AGM.

All students are strongly encouraged to attend the AGM. There will be free drinks, food and a raffle where you can win a limited edition snowboard, so get involved!

This year, we will be focusing on changes to the Student Association Constitution – a document of regulations which governs how the SA works. The constitution needs to be changed THIS FRIDAY to keep in line with upcoming licensing laws – otherwise the union wont be able to trade! This is your chance to get involved and Change Your Union.

REMEMBER YOUR MATRICULATION CARD!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry ChristmasIl y a 726 jours

I'd just like to wish everyone a very merry christmas and a happy new year. Remember, stay safe and drink responsibly... (haha).

So that's semester 1 over (apart from the exams, good luck with them), what are your thoughts on RGU: Union so far this year? What did you like/dislike and what do you want to see improved/more of/less of/etc next semester? This is more relaxed than the recent survey (thanks if you did that, the feedback from that is being compiled), so feel free to say what you like!

Election Results, 15th November 2007Il y a 763 jours

First thanks to everyone to ran in the elections, and thank you to everyone who voted!

The results are:

Disability Officer
Kirsty Johnstone - 45
Ben Paton - 38
RON - 1
Spoilt papers - 12

Marketing & Communications Officer
Adeel Qurashi - 75
Andrew Colville - withdrawn
RON - 8
Spoilt papers - 13

Postgraduate Academic Affairs Officer
Richard Akinlofa - 62
RON - 10
Spoilt papers - 24

("RON" is short for "Re-Open Nominations" which is short for "I don't want any of the candidates to win and would rather have a re-run of the elections with (possibly) new candidates", which doesn't really fit that well on ballot papers. Spoilt papers are ones where a vote cannot be understood, e.g. if someone crossed two boxes, or a blank vote.)
