Steve Busby - Leaving the band544 Tage her

We are sorry to announce that our next gig @ Rockers, Glasgow will be the last gig that Bad Name willl play with our Superb Bassist Steve Busby. The "Mr im too cool to like Bon Jovi" has now graduated from Edinburgh University and feels that work commitments will begin to hinder his and the bands progress in the long term and has decided to step down. He will be sorely missed by the rest of the band and our hardcore Bad Name fans.

But dont worry this will not affect the bands gig commitments and we will announce a long term replacement for Steve in the very near future. So watch this space.

KEEP THE FAITH

Forfar Rocks Xmas Festival 29th December 2007 @ The Plough695 Tage her

Bad name returned to Forfar to take part in night 3 of a 4 night Xmas Festival.

a great night was kicked off by dundee band "SAZ" who produced a foot stomping set of their own material which was well recieved by the crowd
next up was local Forfar band "shotgun Libido" who impressed with their energetic goth influenced rock.

"Bad name" then took to the stage & produced a set with all the classics which where belted back at us by a loud (maybe half pished?) crowd. highlights of the bad name set where "bad medicine" which seemed to have the four walls shaking and of course a cracking encore consisting of "faith" and "prayer" which had the band wishing that they could play "the Plough" every nite due to the tremendous reaction and participation of the crowd.
a professional yet fun show once again from Scotlands number 1 Bon jovi tribute which had one crowd member saying " i really dont like Bon Jovi but I F***ing enjoyed that".

The night was rounded of by rock / metal covers band Crawler.

A return to the venue we opened in july.
A dualheadliner with fantastic rock band "apocalypse Jones" who included in their set Whitesnakes "fool for your loving" a favourite among the bad name members. cheers guys was a brilliant set.

we took to the stage infront of a healthy crowd of well known faces and plenty of new fans for a 2 hour set. the set had to be curtailed due to a hand injury to guitarist Gavin Buckley but we had oustanding "Steel McBoaby" Alex stepping in to learn the whole set in under a week. thanks again Alex.
the crowd sang along and jumped around to all the Jovi classics.

Band highlights include Wayne starting "these days" 2 octaves too high (no one noticed tho, well saved, Wayne), the mysterious vanishing pint during "born to be my baby" & Ross jumping into the front row during "prayer" and meeting the on rushing crowd head on & falling backwards over the monitors, never missed a note tho)

a big thank you to the bands w.a.gs. to Grant & Sandy who as always are a great help to the band on gig nights, your work doesnt go unnoticed.

a gr8 night enjoyed by the band and crowd, hope to be back early 2008.

Bad name where proud to open Edinburgh`s new live music venue "the ark" on 12th of july. a solid 2 hour set was soaked up by a large audience who sang along to every number.
a fantastic night in a great venue that is sure to attract more of Edinburghs finest.
A big bad name thanks to "ka-tet" and "the Infidel" who were our supports on the night. also a big thank you to all our hardcore fans and techs, we couldnt bring the show to the masses without you guys and gals!

a mosh pit during "its my life"? must be a first.
new track "any other day" from new album "lost highway" was brought into the set to make Bad name the first british Bon jovi tribute band to play this song live.

see you all again sometime!
