I'm feeling weird at the moment. So thought I would blog? I'm going through a phase right now where I can't stop writing and getting ideas in my head at horrible hours! I'm frustrated because I'm rubbish at the engineering side of things....and I can't use logic! I am useless! I think I need lessons. My bass player has agreed on giving me a few lessons if I pay him in pizza and red wine. I think I'd be even more useless on red wine! I have a lot of cool things coming up. Got a couple of gigs here and there and playing at Scotland's Homecoming 2009 in the SECC along with some great people on the 28th November. Whoop! I'll be in hall 3 if you're going along. I'm also playing in Dunfermline on the 20th November at PJ Molloys which will be cool. Never played there before! Then next week I'm going down to London to do some recordings for an EP which will be released in March along with my debut single in march! I'm looking forward to recording them....I'll be recording more of an acoustic intimate vibe for these tracks so I'll keep you posted on that. It's all a bit strange to think that it's all kicking off next year! Time flies. I've also got a show for you lot in Edinburgh! It's on the 12th December at Sneaky Pete's so come along if you fancy it. I'll have t shirts too if you don't have one already  Then I have a show in Glasgow at King Tuts on the 21st of December so make sure to get your tickets in advance! I'm really looking forward to it...got Brother Louis Collective and Kitty the Lion supporting. Love them both. Here is a video of me playing with Brother Louis in Tobermory... was a lot of fun! I'll be performing 2 songs on the BBC Hogmanay show which I CAN'T BLOODY WAIT TO DO!! Playing in a large studio with lots of instruments and happy faces and champaign. YES! Will keep you posted on that one too. Anyway, I should go and make a cup of tea and write lyrics til I fall asleep. | you cant keep everyone happy....especially in this job. Whether it's your family, friends, people you work with....you just can't do it. It literally is impossible. How do people do it? I could walk around expecting everything to be done for me, tell people what I want- tell people what I don't want- without reason, to not put up with shit, to do whatever it takes in order for things to be okay and for good things to happen and not let it bother or affect me that I am letting someone down along the way. But the thing is....I DO give a shit. Because that person, the person who I may let down once in a while, whether it be family, a friend, someone I work with....they have helped me along the way. It hurts if someone walks all over me, because I don't do it to them. And it hurts when people don't understand that sometimes you have to make decisions that ultimately will let someone down. I suppose you have to find the right balance and deal with it. I just hope people see that Pearly Pops x | ||||

| for Halloween! I have my brogues, a shirt, some braces....will need to buy long shorts or something. If anyone has pics of the kind of puppet I should be aiming for please do feel free to post them! I need some ideas. Is there such a thing as a sexy puppet? ....I don't think so. I will most certainly post some pics up after Halloween to show you the outcome of Pearl THEE puppet. How is everyone anyway? I'm trying to get rid of a tummy bug. BOKE! | I'm mega excited. I cannot wait for this gig. It's going to be a great night! The lovely Anna Meldrum ( who is now known as 'Kitty The Lion') will be performing as well as 'The Brother Louis Collective' who I adore. Great great people. Then myself and my puppets for a full on show! with a wee surprise too. Tickets are now available so get purchasing as I doubt they will be available at door. whoop whoop! | Yup. My last show of 2009 in Glasgow! This is going to be a great show as the very talented brother louis collective and anna meldrum will be joining the bill. AWESOME. | Has anyone seen this film? I loved it. I absolutely loved it. I think I love Joseph Gordon- Levitt and I think I want to be Zooey Deschanel.
