Hellos

The lads over at Pulse have held the last recording session, and gotten a very good 95% mix done, we've a little bit of tweaking to do, and then mastering, and a bit of packaging and our single is good to go.

In the mean time, they're provided us with this podcast, which features a little bit of footage of us recording and another incredible cringe-worthy interview, which seems to be our style, it seems we don't like to answer questions if we can't make people uncomfortable along the way, (honesty we do not do heroin, and we appologise for letting brien do any talking), anyway.

Thanks to Dave Carroll for the Video production, Thanks to tini pics for the pictures and thanks to Steo for two scoops.

You can check it out on our Bebo Page in that wonderful little flash video section (Ahh Technology, where'd we be without ya) and on our myspace aswell!!

Also, It will give yas all a sneaky little listen of teh B-Side we recorded along side the single called "You Never Call" If yas concentrate more on that, you wont notice the nonsence we speak of in the interview :P

Sunshine, Studio Time, and Sleep Deprivation!!!619 days ago

Hello!!

As Some of you lot may know, we have recently been working away in the studio rercording for a Single and A B-Side which we intend on releasing hopefully in the coming months!

Last night seen one of the last recording sessions of this current project, codenamed "You Never Surrender" Well not really codenamed, Were Just recording a different arrangement of Surrender To Silence, and A Song which we have been gigging for the past while titled "You Never Call" and a combination of the two sounded cool inside my head, which is very warped at the moment as Ive been awake for the past 2 days! So I think I could be halloucinating from Sleep Deprivation!! But Thats neither here nor there!

The songs are soundingreally cool at the moment, and we cant wait for you guys to finally hear them, I know we have been mentioning them for months, but it really has been a long process, which thankfully is nearing its end! We finished the Vocals last night and we are all delighted with the results, all be it so very tired as the session ran from 9pm to 7am, but I hope it was worth it......

We will let yas all know when the songs are finished, and we will post them on the Bebo and Myspace!! But in the meantime, to wet your appetite, we have posted a newer song, only on myspace at the moment though, Its called Dance, which from listening Im sure you will realise we love joy division) the recording is pretty rough, as we do Intend on recording that properly for an EP later in the year, but its something new to listen too If you havnt seen us play it live before. So we do hope you like that one, cause we havnt posted anything new in ages!

And We also Have A Gig on Friday (11 April) in Fibbers...... With The Brilliant Neon Stars, whom everyone should com see.... and Rifle Fire Rifle, who car about to embark on a UK tour, which im sure will be amazing!!

I cant Wait!!

For those who have been keeping a read of the blogs as we’ve been throwing them up, you probably know already that we’re in the process of recording a single and b-side, we’re about 70% complete at the moment, and the team that are recording us are in the process of putting together a video podcast with us too, documenting the process of recording and the messing that goes on (and admittadly, there is allways alot of that)

We are going to be releasing short video segments of the podcast soon, little video’s of us recording our parts and talking about our instruments.

We’ve been busy gigging recently, but have a bit of a rest now with only two gigs or so in the next month, and as always we’d love to see anyone from here, out in the real world at a gig. We’re particularly looking forward to the gig in fibbers with "Rifle Fire Rifle" who are about to embark on a UK tour. the gig is also with our very close friends and a most amazing band, "The Chapman Society," who if any of you know of them, are due to be releasing a second single soon and an album towards the end of the summer, which if you’ve seen them live or even just heard them over on their page, your probably looking forward to it as much as we are.

In the last week we’ve been beavering away writing new songs, with three new ones being added to our set, which we are very excited about, we had slowed off on the song writing but after getting very positive feedback on the newest song to join the setlist (Matt Is Murder) while playing out live it gave us a new surge of inspiration, and made the new songs come together amazingly quickly from renewed enthusiasm.

We have been in talks with a producer about putting together an ep, which we’ll be looking to do in August with hopefully a September release, with four songs from our live setlist, unless something new really sticks out, and we decide to keep it aside for the surprise element.

We’re also on the lookout for gigs outside of dublin, as we’ve heard very good things about gigs in Galway, Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Belfast, and Dundalk. So these are on the list of places we’re going to try get down to, in the coming months, and we’re also looking to do a few gigs across the pond in Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh and probably London too, at some stage during the summer.

God that was long! But on a lighter note, if your Irish, into music and perhaps are on the lookout for bands you might not have heard of, "The Kinetiks" new single is great, we really enjoyed it, and "Concerto for Constantine" are an amazing live band who if you get a chance you should try and go see, "The Neon Stars" are pure legends and we love them, perhaps too much, go see them or miss out on a great gig/night/experience and of course one of our favourite Irish bands the "Delorentos" are always ones to keep an eye out for.

Hi Everybody!!!

Firstly Happy New Year To Yas all!!!!
2008 Is really starting off quite well for us, we have a few days in Pulse over the coming weeks the aim is to get a Single And A B-Side Recorded, so as soon as they are done of course they will appear on Bebo And Myspace for Your Listening Pleasure, or pain, there is really no pleasing everyone I guess!!!

The two songs we have decided to record are "Surrender To Silence" which some of you may know, and another song which we have been playing live at our more recent gigs called "You Never Call" Were really excited about the recordings, and also were gona try capture some behind the scenes footage while we are recording and that should be on Youtube aswell as another interview conducted by one of our friends Thom McDonnell.

As well as the recording, were playing in Whelans on the 22nd Which Should Be great fun, Its a fantastic venue and we hope to see some of yas there!!!

We had a great time and were delighted to be appearing on the Show, For those Who Tuned in thanks alot, for those who texted in too us we were delighed too hear from you, and occasionally intriuged, and sometimes a tad frightened :P (The Show Will Be Podcasted for anyone who missed it)

Now whats on the agenda for us, well with Christmas Rapidly approaching band practice time has now been consumed by Christmas shopping time..... Only Kidding, we are going to hopefully put the finishing touches on an EP as we want to remix and master some of our recordings, as we do intend on having something available by the end of January and also and while were at it maybe write a new song or two, and hopefully fit in maybe a few more gigs, cause we love those!!
