Ronan out of London marathon..4/20/07
 
Ronan has unfortunately had to pull out of running this year's Flora London Marathon. He will however be there at the start line on Sunday as he has been asked to act as the official starter for the race. After suffering severe back pain during recent training runs Ronan was forced to take medical advice from back specialists in Dublin. They have advised that he defers his participation to 2008. This will give him time to sort out his back problem and then put in the necessary training for the 26.2 mile run.
Ronan says, 'I'm gutted that I've been forced to pull out of this year's Flora London Marathon. I have been in agony with back pain over the past couple of weeks so am determined to sort my back so that I can post a good time in 2008 and honour the pledges people have made. As part of 'Team Ronan', my manager, Mark Plunkett and I have received many kind donations of support for our Cancer Research UK fund raising efforts at www.justgiving.com/ronan I'm sure that Mark and my team mates will carry the flag in great style and I am honoured that I will be able to wave them off on Sunday morning in my roll as the official starter for this year's Flora London Marathon'.

I know some people have asked why there is no songs up, but I did have some up at the start but Bebo deleted them because they said I broke copyright laws or something lol..

Westlife, Keating to sing together


It has been announced that Westlife and Ronan Keating will sing together at the Meteor Ireland Music Awards in Dublin next month.

It will be the first time the quartet and Keating have performed a song live together.

They will sing a cover of Garth Brooks' song 'Shall We Dance' on the night.

The awards take place on Thursday 1 February and will be broadcast on RT� Two on Sunday 4 February at 9.30pm.

The Marie Keating Foundation invites you to join their 'Walk in France' in May 2007 - a 7 day (100km) trek through the vineyards, beaches and forests that surround the beautiful city of Bordeaux - to raise funds for cancer awareness.

We will be visiting some of the many famous vineyardsin the region and sampling some of their superb wines. We promise that there will be lots of walking, sightseeing and laughing everyday.
