Seagulls. 4/2/08

Yup. People are like seagulls I've noticed.

They flock together in big groups and squark and make noise but as soon as something is thrown into their grasps they fight and nit-pick and hurt each other, just to get at it. [The object] often isn't even worth it..

Anything different scares them away and any one who happens to be different is torn apart and rejected from the group.

Anyhoo, enough about the seagulls.

People, Yes, People Shit Me.

Why is it, as supposedly the most intelligent species in the world, we humans cause so much terror, depression, sadness, and practically destroy our own environment and everything in it!?
We pick away at each other's identities, destroy self-esteem, ruin confidence and happiness because people can be suck negative, pessimistic things.

Even the optimists are becoming negative... the air-heads are rising and common sense is becoming not so common. It seems vacuosity is considered a desirable quality and one should aspire to lowest mark in the class or workforce.

Today, there is no room for intelligence or sincerity, and if there is, I am yet to find it.
Fakeness pisses me off.. but does it even exist any more!? To me it seems as though 'Fake' is the new real.. and anyone who resists is instantly branded a loser or a prude.

Everyone want's a piece of everyone else but nobody wants to take the bad parts of life with the good bits.. Why are we spending so much time trying to 'find ourselves' and 'sort our lives out' ?

Life is something constant, we are constantly journeying towards an end, not a destination or a goal. Life comes, life is the moment we are born until the second we die and that part in between, that is finding ourselves. That is where we 'become who we are'. Thats it, we never truly 'become' anything other than bones and flesh rotting in the ground or ashes being tossed around.

Then why bother with life if it all ends with being shoved in a jar or a coffin at the very short, untimely and often tragic end? Because that bit in the middle is so amazing, it terrifies us, it fills us with awe and amazement and emotions that nobody will ever be able to describe, let alone come up with a word for.

I hope other people think in the way that I do, truly.

THE TRUTH:
Nobody is afraid of heights, they're afraid of falling.
Nobody is afraid of playing, they're afraid of losing.
Nobody is afraid of the dark, they're afraid of what's in it.
Nobody is afraid to say I Love You, they're afraid of the response.

If us humans continue to steal away little parts of each other, soon there will be nothing left.
