| You can now listen to a unique piece of music, one of my personal favorites. Its hard to describe because there is nothing like it. Start with an insanely complicated time signature, add some unusual guitar patterns, slow it down a bit, lay on some sweet singing, a kick-ass guitar solo and a speedy finish. | ||||

| Fractal have been working on their second album for far too long, but it is now completely finished. The official release date is in early January, with album art work etc, and it will be available as a CD from CDbaby, and on iTunes. Bebo gets the first look at the final tracks, two to start with - Monkeys Paw is Punk Prog - a short noisy song with shredding guitar solo and strange coda Pentacle that goes from arpeggios to thrash. Belleraphon is a non-sequitur, it ends the album and it just doesn't belong. Its an electronic dance track created from Apple garageband loops by Paul, overlaid with a hot guitar solo... | ||||

| Fractal are finally launching Aftermath on the world | 920 Tage her | ||

| After many years of work, the first track from Fractal's new CD is going to be launched this coming Thursday alongside an interview with Nic on The Dividing Line, an Internet radio station. It will also be uploaded to bebo.com. Its a very special piece of music, its exactly nine minutes and eleven seconds long. Its in alternating 9 and 11 time so has a unique beat, and it has lyrics that capure a reaction to the events known as "9/11". | ||||

| We are making progress on Aftermath, but Paul just moved house which has slowed things up a bit. In the meantime this is a track from Fractal's first CD. It was improvised from scratch in one take and is a mellow and atmospheric piece with melodic guitar and some interesting guitar synth effects. Enjoy! | ||||

| Fractal are getting very close to releasing a completely finished version of the title track of their second album - Aftermath. Why is it called Aftermath? Well, its exactly nine minutes and eleven seconds long, and is mostly in alternating nine time and eleven time. It was originally written a few years ago in the aftermath of a quite well known event, can you guess what the lyrics might be about? | ||||
