OK, so blogs eh? Not good at these at all, but here goes again.

Just I would like to start off by saying THANK YOU to everybody that has supported TRIG Promotions over the last year and a bit. I feel the gigs that have been put on have been all so successful and the talent showcased has been nothing short of amazing. Why am I writing this blog???

Ok so the festive season is coming soon and personally I have never been so busy in all my life with everything I have got involved in, But I feel I owe a little something back to the bands and people that have supported me. Back in September I booked 2 gigs for December planned everything and got the major work outta of the way...thank f**k,So NOW I can confirm that TRIG Promo are running to awesome gigs on the 18th and 19th of December. The 18th brings back Ireland best TOOL Tribute band THE GRUDGE on their 'goodbye' tour. These guys have worked their asses off over the years and have entertained thousands of Tool fans all around Ireland. They will be join by a support TBA.

But the Main Event is the Saturday the 19th...THE TRIG PROMOTIONS CHRISTMAS PARTY (woohoo), This is going to be fun as fudge. We have 5 of Ireland's best up and coming bands from Indie, to hard rock, to metal. The line up is as followings
TAME (Kilkenny)Ozzmium (Down)Modern Rik (Kilkenny)Sylian Rayle (Dublin)Chemical Addiction (Kilkenny)and hopefully another act for the craic ;)
but that’s not all, Because Christmas is a time for giving ALL proceeds (after expenses for bands of course) will be donated to Charity. I am happy to say we have joined forces with the team that organised Carlow/Kilkenny's GOT TALENT and we are donating the money made to the CHERNOBYL CHILDREN FUND.

BUT, again, that’s not all. The Christmas party will be more than bands, There are raffles, prizes, empty buckets to be filled with change and...I'm actually nervous about this, There will be what I have nick-named 'THE CHARITY CHOP' A bunch of us have volunteered to get Hair chopped off and heads shaved...dare I say it, Including me. I'll be chopping off a big chunk of my hair on the night. Note I haven't had a hair cut since the 5th of December 1998, so I am nervous as...And Im sure there will be more chaos on the night. This essentially will be a Charity weekend...But it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun to. So empty you pockets for the people shaving and cutting their hair, buy some tickets for some sweet prizes, show up, have a few beers, eat biscuits and lollipops, pull a Christmas cracker, sit on Santa's lap ;) (giggidy)
...AND LET'S F**KN WRECK THE PLACE!!!

I personally can't wait for this and I can't wait to see everybody there.

In 24 hours the wait is over, I’m not even talking about the wait that some of you, you being close friends and “fans” (hate that word) have been waiting for. I’m talking about the wait we ITF has waited for, for over a year. A year of not knowing what was going to happen, a year of sweating, working and writing some of the best music ITF had EVER written. I know what you’re thinking, “yous are playn in a poxy quarry tomorrow”, but for ITF it’s reaping the fruits of our labour and it’s going to be a feast. We’ve been off the stage for a long time, it might take a few gigs to get us comfortable again but you can bet you f**kn ass we are going to BRING IT.

Also I’ll like to thank Kev aka Big Sexy, He has been in the ITF 1 full year now and tomorrow will be the first time he graces the stage with us. Thanks for sticking with us dude and believing in us, sometimes more than we believed in ourselves :)

Hope to see a lot of friendly faces tomorrow.

Just in case you thought we were gone, We are so wrapping up the writing process in the next couple of weeks and we are for the first time in many years going to gig the SH!T outta the place. ITF has seen it's fair share drama and bullshit so with that behind, Let get this train rolling again. We have spent along time finding the right people, writing the best music from all styles and genres Rock, Metal, Jazz, Prog, Fusion, whatever, continually accessing ourselves professionally and personally to come up with something MASSIVE, IMPENETRABLE, INDESTRUCTIVE and always POSITIVE. We'll be the first to say this machine isn’t without it's flaws, but the facts that we know make this experience so worth all the hassle and garbage we have had. I for one can't wait to share this with everyone. This is a new ITF in everyway possible.
We can’t wait to see all our friends again around the country and we hope we live up to expectations and past triumphs and successes.

ITF Singer: MY NEW BAND from USA264 days ago
 
Yo folks,

Jimmy here. While ITF has been writing the last few months,
I have been very busy working with Mark Hunt aka B Blunt
of US band Medication. We have just finished recording
9 songs with, get this, RAY MAYORGA (drummer from Stone Sour)
on 3 tracks.
It has been a surreal past 6 weeks,
but as of the weekend gone I am offically a member of
PAIN and PROGRESS.
Bases outta North Carolina USA it will involve me doin abit of traveling,
but it is totally worth it. It is a completely different sound to ITF,
Str8 Hard rock-metal-acoustic AWESOME.
This project will not effect ITF in any way
and we hope to be busting out gigs around the country this summer as often as we can. Some new ITF's tunes are coming...and fuck me are they bad-ass,ha.

But for the time being please add PAIN and PROGRESS

Ok, I wont rant to much, just put it simply.

ITF have waited along time to get things rite again and now that it’s finally coming together for us and we are having so much fun for the first time in forever (not that we never had fun,ha) and the creative ITF juices are flowing, we decided to push forward the gigs into the new year. We are all working towards something very special and new for ITF. We do realise that some people have counted us out as lost causes, but from where we are standing nothing could be further from the truth. When we come back in the new year new you wont just hear it, you’ll fuckn feel it,ha. We plan on making an impact and I for one cant wait.

Dec 6th gig is still goin ahead tho as part of TRIG Promotions series of gigs that are now up and running. TRIG PROMOTIONS is our new promotions company by the way,haha. You’ll find it at www.myspace.com/trigpromotions and www.bebo.com/trigpromotions , check it, add it, love it, support it.
The 6th gig will be as follow’s, Chemical Addiction from Kilkenny, Trig and Boo Gangsta rap superstars from Kilkenny and Hero In Error from Dublin.

About Itchy Trigger Finger

Itchy Trigger Finger Described as a “powerhouse for progressive metal music”, Itchy Trigger Finger are Jimmy Trigger (Vocals / Guitar), Robbie Dunne (Guitar), Pam Lennon (Bass) and Kev Connolly (Drums)

From Kilkenny city, Itchy Trigger Finger first made their mark on the Kilkenny music scene in 2003, capturing the county’s Battle Of The Bands title. In Dublin 2005 they defeated 30 other bands for the ignition showcase title in temple bar music center and carlow in 2007 taking first place runner up in C.I.T battle of the bands.

Anchored by front man Jimmy Trigger, ITF have spend the years since extensively touring the country and building up a steady following of loyal fans throughout Ireland’s metal music circles.

Over time, the band has cultured a mature and distinct sound for themselves. Their music encompasses odd time signatures, is solidly structured on technically energetic percussion, groovy sensual bass, soulful guitar solos and heavy riffs, all tied together with power anthem vocals – a melting pot combination that works well in both the studio and live environments.

“Back-breaking, energetic, powerful and personally inspiring” are how some critics view the band’s live performances.

2007 saw the release of the band’s much anticipated debut EP ‘The Wrong Side Of Misery’. Launched in July, the five-track EP is testament to the road the band have traveled over the past five years. Tracks like ‘Perfect Reality’ and ‘Measure Of A Man’ have rapidly become hits with the group’s hardcore fans and admirers alike. .

Driven by raw, emotional honesty and an unquenchable passion for spreading a positive message through their music, the band are currently writing, rehearsing and demo tracking new material in advance of their next studio recording.

Notes Itchy Trigger Finger are the only metal act in Kilkenny to have received arts funding for two years in succession, (Arts Act Grant 2006, 2007). Itchy Trigger Finger is the only band in their genre (within Ireland) endorsed by leading guitar manufacturer, Cort.

WE ARE SO BACK: NEW DRUMMER

Ok sports fans, or more precisely ITF fans, you heard it here first … WE ARE FUCKING BACK BABEY.

As of 2 weeks ago we were blessed with the greatest gift ITF has ever got in the form of Kev Connelly aka Big Kev, already regarded as the best drummer ITF has ever had, we are proud to say he is officially the new stickman for us and we are more excited than ever. You thought you’ve seen us at our best??? In reality you haven’t seen nothing yet.

The last couple of months have been very uncertain for us but for whatever reason its all coming together now. We are keeping our heads down and rehearsing like crazy, writing and revamping old songs giving them new life. With the entire back catalogue already finished we are currently writing new ITF tracks and if I do say so myself, its never been so much fun and easy to do with everyone in their comfort zones, the creative juice of ITF are flowing like never before.

The future, hmm, the future you say? Well I tell you one thing, the future is finally looking bright, always believing and keeping that positive mindset that ITF so strongly enforces in everything we do is finally paying off. The times ahead are going to be hard but fun as fuck, with new songs, new attitude, recording and touring, getting involved with up and coming promotion companies, working with people that actually understand ITF’s philosophy , no more bullshit, straight talking and fast walking … BRING IT THE FUCK ON.

We are still looking for a full-time drummers, endorsements are still rolling in,
