	Hey Hey, following our gig at the Captains rest we were playing at a launch party for an arty thing ( i should know more but i dont ) at the the GU. It was actually really good. The PA was a bit on the small side.. the sound guys did a great job with what they had so props to them. Washington Irving were frickin Magic !!! Anyway.. we have been writing new songs this week which has been really nice! they are sounding great. Dont expect to hear too much toooo soon though. Maybe by Christmas we will have a couple of new tracks up on the player. Last night we were in Perth at the Twa Tams. We had a good time.. it was sortof unfortunate as we were told by the sound guy to go on quite early and finish by 11 which is exactly what we did but then when we finished the owner told us that we should have started later and finished later which would have meant it would have been busier. These things happen and we shall be back playing there much later at somepoint next year. Anyway no more gigs for a while as we are giving ourselfs time to get some new material written and recorded. exciting times. Over and out. xx

	Last night at The Captain's Rest was grrrrreat! We played a blinder, Jonathan played the best bass solo ever & Sorren is just the type to have a secret stash. Trumpets were blowin' a storm, Lewis looked good behind his kit, aww. Party Tonight. Don't be late.

	Another classic Linen gig last night: We got paid to leave. Apparently they were raging because we didn't have the full band there. 100% Lewis's fault kids (disclaimer - this is a joke). What were they expecting? It's a tiny venue and we very often play one or two person shows, besides I've only got one mic can't get any more till Sorren gives me the cash. On the upside we got PAID to leave. I'm a bit raging at this myself as we played Fucking Magic and the crowd there really appreciated it, oh well. NEXT: KID BRITISH @ THE CAPTAINS REST - SUNDAY 16TH. This gig will be the Dogs Dick. x

	Hola.. We are playing The Captains rest on the 17th of November with KID BRITISH. So your thinking ermm not sure who Kid British are! They are on Mercury and Universal records ( Major Record Labels ) .. soooo they are doing something right. Give them a google search and u'l find them. It will cost your pennies to get in.. and the Captains rest such a cool venue since PCL invaded. It could be one of these gigs where in 3 years time you say to your buddy - i frickin saw Kid British in the CAPTAINS REST. and they will be like No way man thats total mental. Sort of like When the Bentines supported the Arctic Monkeys. But Cooler. As i hear the Arctic Monkeys were stuck up.. Not cool! And another thing.. We have been laying down some new tooones at practice and will possibly throw them at you at Captains rest. So come catch them and we will love it. and hopefully you will to. Gracias. x x x

	Happy Halloweeen!! As i said on the previous blog we were in the fort for a halloween party. Also an Oxjam run gig. It was "pure magic". We arrived ridiculously late as per usual. Which was 100% Martins fault. We were way to drunk to play well and Martins costume meant he couldn't see his keys on his keyboard. awesome martin, just awesome. Some ned from the fort william possie came up to martin when he was on stage and said "im gonna fuck you up next time you come to fort william" Jeez we must have been good. All in all it was totally amazing fun!! Like a trillion underagers and lots of fights. aw yeah!! anyway. that will do.

	Been busy week this week. By "busy" I mean I played gigs three nights in a row. On Wednesday, Helen, Lewis and I hobbled on down to the beautiful Shawlands bar - Linen 1906 and played every single YB song known to man apart from, no I think it was all of them, wasn't it? I'm not sure. The turnout was ace, by ace I mean shit. Thursday held the magnificence of a kind of "YB ceilidh", but not really. Na it wasn't a "YB ceilidh" at all. For a start we had a great fiddler in the shape of Laura Wilkie who is so amazing she had folk offering to chew their own arm off to "be" with her. The Ceilidh was amazing, thanks. That was Lewis, Sorren, Me & Laura. Friday we ALL went to Motherwell to play in Starka for Tennent's Mutual and it was awesome. Massive big up to Sleepmode who rock our socks off after we finished. oh yes, oh yes, oh yes. NEXT I'm going to kill myself on Halloween in Fort William. BE THERE! M A R T I N
