Hope you all enjoyed the recent batch of gigs!

We have been in the studio again recording On the Road and Mr Quinn. And Crown Night again, cause let's be honest, the current recording up there is crap because we rushed it. They should be done soonish.

Oh yea, the guy who records all our stuff is the lovely Michael Barr. If you pay him he may also record for you. In a cool studio. If interested, ask us to put you in touch.

And one last thing, all being well we're due to play a battle of the bands in central Dublin next Feb/March/April. If you're interested in coming on an epic road trip/adventure, contact us now!

That is all.

If you know of any gigs mention/tell us!

Peace
TFG

Goings on10/9/07

Well everybody, you may want to know what the deal has been with us lately. Or you may not. But you're going to be told anyway. First thing we are going to make clear:

We are still together and rockin'!

As the story goes, we are now all grown up and are at various universities about the place. Term time gigs may be a bit thin on the ground at times. However, during holidays it is business as usual at TFG. That means we're organising gigs, possibly recording more material, and writing new material!
And because we're students, our holidays are always way longer than the schools/adults work. So it's all good.

During term time, if anything relatively big comes up, you can bet we'll get on planes ASAP (the two of us who have to).

But anyways, so folks, we are very much still a band. Repeat - we have not cleared off! There is already a gig on at Auntie Annies on the 16th December - get you and your mates down and let's have an awesome night. Chris is (well, supposed to be!) working on getting us a night at QUB Student's Union. As for outside the country, we are working on spreading our stuff further afield.

So, keep checking back here for updates, come and rock out at the future gigs, and if you know anybody who is putting on any sort of gig night - give us a suggestion!

Peace

TFG

Reading Festival/EP9/2/07

Last Saturday three quarters of the band took to the Nokia Rock up & Play unsigned stage at the Reading music festival. We were basically chucked on at midday and given enough time for one song, which was TCC. Due to Ryanair doing a bad job, Ryan didn't make it onto the plane, so instead Chris covered vocals. A video should soon be up on the myspace, or instead visit www.rockupandplay.com and search for us.

As for Men on Stilts, well the tracks are up, but it'll be available to buy someday!

Peace

EP Update 28/13/07

At the time of writing, we have 3 tracks fully completed, which just need mastered and tweaked a bit. Mr Quinn has not been recorded, due to the difficulty at getting suitable times for the band and the recorder to be together! Still, if we can, the EP will be tweaked and Quinn will be done before early september.

We also haven't decided when to release this one yet, but we're putting these tracks up anyway! Thanks for being patient.

Enjoy!

New EP Recording6/3/07

Well guys, it's been too long since a) we've played a gig and b) we've recording anything for your lovely ears.

What are the reasons for this ,you demand?

The only real reason is cause of exams, but since most of them are over/we're sick of doing them, we are now looking at again lining up some gigs and going back to record our second EP!

Once we locate Chris Bateman (who has disappeared after his music A level), dates on recording will be decided. We're thinking around late June, and hopefully we'll have the finished product within a few days of recording.

As usual, it'll be 3 or 4 tracks. A couple will be songs we've played live numerous times, but we can reveal that (all being well) at least one entirely new, unheard track will be included!

In the meantime, keep an eye (and ear) out for new gigs!

December Bands11/16/06

Well! Look at all those tasty dates. This is indeed the first time we have had that many upcoming shows on our myspace page. I have to say we're really looking forward to them, and hoping that all you lot are aswell! We've a number of new songs that we're going to try out on these crowds, and of course we'll still be playing the old numbers. Honestly, if you can make any of these announced dates (other than Harlequinn's, as it's a private affair) then for God's sake get the hell down there and dance like the nutjobs you are!

The confirmed bands that we're gonna be playing with in the first two weeks of December are;

Thrones of Roll
Dynamo
The Experiment
Chris McGarry
The Nixon Administration
The Unknown Soldiers
Midnight Noise Conspiracy

Check them out.
