| Thanks To The People Who Came Down To See Us In Guildford Last Weekend, It Was A Great Weekend For Us, Seeing Satellite State Play Again Was Fantastic And A Pleasure To Be There As Guests Of Their EP Launch Party... As For This Weekend, We Have Been In The Studio Recording Three New Professional Tracks That Will Be Completed In The Next Week Or Two...One Of These Songs Is This Summer, A Great Tune We Look Forward To Play At Each Gig... Speaking Of Gigs, Our Next One Is In The Queens Head In Bradley On The 20th Of June, A Friday. The Doors Open At 7pm And We'll Be On Stage Approximately 9pm. It Was A Fantastic Night And We Really Enjoyed Meeting Up And Watching The Wallbirds And Of Course One Night Only Themselves. Both Bands Were Class On The Night And They're Sound As Also! The gig is schedualed as there last in there tour and The Collards will be supporting them on May 24th this year. Its a shame that all the tickets have been sold out tho, and have been for a while. | Thanks for all who attended the Queens Head Gig last Friday, was a quality night and we really enjoyed it. Weve whacked up a few pics aswel for you! Thank You all for voting for us in the One Night Only Competition and dont forget, you can keep going back to the site to vote again and again! They all count, and remember, its you the fans that are have the impact in helping us so make sure you make the right descision! | Hey all, Recently weve been short of gigs as im sure you know which has been abit poo. But the great news is, were getting back on the road now and getting a few gigs down on paper. So hopefully we will be seeing you coming along with us to them. Heres abit of info on them, theres only two so far, but im sure theylle be more. Noteably, the first gig we have is again in the Queens Head in Bradley, on the 18th of April. More info provided soon. And, for those who turned up in style to support us in the Climb The Tail Competition, im sure you will remember a band called Satellite State. Well the lads had made a good friendship and swapped contact details after the gig which resulted in a gig down in Guildford, their home town, which isnt far from London. Its on the Saturday 31st of May. We dont have any plans for coaches at the moment, but if we are, keep your eyes out on here for them and for info ok? Got that yea? Take it easy The Lads x | ||||

| Why We Chose The Songs We Played At Climb The Tail? | Il y a 670 jours | ||

| Since the final of Climb the tail, all we've heard is 'You Should've played this song', 'You shudda done this', 'Why Didnt You Play This?'. To be honest there's a perfectly good reason why we chose each song. The judges obviously didnt like our choices but at the end of the day, if they were there to hear all upbeat songs and have a party they shudda gone to central station. Every band has ballad. Actualy have about 2 per album. Arctic Monkeys, Certain Romance and Riot Van. Oasis, Cast No Shadow and Champagne Supernova. I dont see why we were judged by how upbeat our songs, its shocking. Soo...... Thirsty Scholar The opening needed to be eye catching, this was our best song to open up a show with. Opening guitar riff and an anthem of chorus. Thought it was logical. Follow You Follow Me After recently recording this, we thought it had most single potential out of any of the songs we've done in the last 6 months. So why not eh? Before You Say Yes We needed a moderate tempo song to lead us onto the next two tracks and this showed our talents vocally and musically. Full of melodies and we've recently done a video which was shown on the climb the tail promo. Shine On An old one. This is the one people have moaned about. 'It was a downer' apparently. We played because it shows a different side to us. Its a different type of song, different time signature. Thought it would show our talents musically. The Feeling Another old one. People have been going on about us playing this since i joined the band. We thought this would be a perfect opportunity to play it. So there we are. And if you wanna slag us off for fashion sense, Then be a fashion designer. Thank You | ||||

| Well good afternoon ladies and gentleman. Just thought Id write a blog saying thank you for supporting us in the Climb The Tail competition. This is basically any one who came to the show, added us, text for us or listened to our tunes. I think every single one of you is to thank. We had a mint night at the final. Our set was: Thirsty scholar Follow you Follow Me Before You Say yes Shine On The Feeling Maybe these were the wrong songs? Maybe we weren't what the judges were looking for. It was mint to see many familiar faces in the crowd, and some new ones. Hopefully you can come see us again. We might have some videos of the gig on our page soon. Congratulations to white company who won. But a band we really gelled with were the awesome satellite state. Really awesome band. Awesome musicians! Was a pleasure to play with them. Hope to play with them in Guilford soon maybe? Maybe some gigs with the other bands too. they all blew us away. Right...your reward: New tunes!
