Austrian blackened death metal outfit BELPHEGOR have set, Walpurgis Rites - Hexenwahn, as the title of their eighth full-length studio album, due out later this year via Nuclear Blast Records.

The follow-up to 2008's Bondage Goat Zombie was recorded at Andy Classen's (LEGION OF THE DAMNED, DEW-SCENTED, KRISIUN, ASPHYX) Stage One Studios in Kassel, Germany.

Commented frontman Helmuth: "The title fits perfect to the whole concept, the lyrical themes. It's typical BELPHEGOR, involving symbology and double meanings. I have always been fascinated by the idea and atmosphere surrounding witches, their magic, the insane sabbath/ ceremonies — and all the obscurity that goes with it. With the nine sound collages, the verses, artwork we continue our descent into the depths of musical hell."

Bondage Goat Zombie entered the Austrian album chart at position No. 42 upon its release in early 2008. The CD also landed on the German chart at No. 81.

Bay Area thrashers EXODUS will return in early 2009 (in support of their latest album, The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A) as direct support for German thrashers, Kreator.

Opening bands will come from Austria's BELPHEGOR (Nuclear Blast) touring in support of their latest album, Bondage Goat Zombie, and California's Warbringer (Century Media).

EXODUS also announced 15 off-date shows during this upcoming tour.

All tickets are now on sale through all ticketing outlets. To make things easier for the fans, EXODUS have provided several purchase link options for each of the dates of this tour. EXODUS guitarist/songwriter Gary Holt checks in from his home in Northern California with the following:

"If you can believe it, we've NEVER toured with Kreator even though Mille and I go WAY back. We've played occasional festivals together and played 5 shows back in '97 on Summer Metal Meeting with them. We've always had a LOT of fun with them, so I'm looking forward to spending time with old friends Kreator, new friends Warbringer, and soon-to-be-good-friends Belphegor.

We're pretty damned happy to be playing nine shows in Canada because Canadian cities tend to get overlooked. The last time we were in Winnipeg, Calgary, and another city which I can't remember right now, those shows were full of 17-year-olds and they went insane. Those dates were the best on that tour!"

EXODUS' next album, The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit B is due out by Summer 2009.

Austria`s most extreme metal outfit BELPHEGOR is in the final stages of the writing process for their upcoming, yet untitled new album, the follow up to 2008`s "Bondage goat zombie". "
Yeah, brothers and sisters, currently we're working on nine sound collages. We started directly in April 2008 after the BONDAGE GOAT ZOMBIE release to create the new compositions/ arrangements for the eigth Werk, 6sikk6 songs basically completely finished. Word can`t really describe how enthusiastic and motivated we are to get into the studio and record this monster, it feels great to be creative again. Nefastus will be responsible for the drums on that album, he also blasted on PESTAPOKALYPSE VI .He is an old friend to the BELPHEGOR family. We have been rehearsing day and night since December to make it as tight and monumental as possible, stay tuned demons... hell awaits!!!
