Have you ever thought that you could change something around you for the better? Have you ever become frustrated that things aren’t as they should be? Have you ever thought that if only you had a bit of a cash and a bit of help that you could really make a difference in your community?
The Be Cause Awards are here to support your ideas and help people like you. Just set up a profile, if you haven’t already got one, and tell us all about your idea or project by filling in our quick and simple form. You can also use your profile to present your idea by uploading videos and pictures to support your application. You could then be in with a chance of winning £1000 and have your own personal Development Manager to help you get your project started. We select a shortlist every month, people vote for the best project and then whoever gets the most votes wins…its simple! On top of this, we will award occasional special prizes and each year a Judges Choice Award of £5,000 will be given to the project with the best ongoing potential. Bebo and UnLtd (www.unltd.org.uk) have created the Be Cause Awards to help those of you who want to make a positive impact on society |

Hi all,
The Final Round of Be Cause Voting has begun! The 3 shortlisted candidates are as follows:
Project Name: Path for the disabled
Name: Erzsebet Majorovics-Gordon
To start a project where children and adults with physical difficulties such as cerebral palsy; stroke and multiple sclerosis learn how to overcome their movement problems to lead more active, independent and fulfilled lives. The project is based on conductive education where the brain is re-educated so that the body is able to move.
Project Name: Safer Transition Project
Name: Tim Watts
A centre for those aged 16 years and up who experience bullying after leaving school – at college, university, in the military services or in apprenticeships etc. The centre will provide support during transition into work and further education and a refuge for victimised adults. http://www.safertransition.co.nr
Project Name: Drug and Alcohol awareness project
Name: Opeyemi Araromi
A three month drug and alcohol mentoring scheme for young people aged 11-19 in Barking and Dagenham. The project is aimed at preventing and reducing the risk of young people abusing drugs and alcohol both now and in their future by supporting them to develop positive lifestyle changes and coping strategies.

The Best of the Best Be Cause Awards
Hi all,
The final round of the Be Cause Awards takes place this month. This round is a "Best of the Best" round. All applicants who have previously been shortlisted for the BeCause Award will be entered into this round, as well as any new applications received before 9am on 20th June 2008.
At this point a maximum of 5 applications will be shortlisted to be entered into a final vote - the winner of this vote will win an UnLtd Level 1 Award - worth up to £5,000.
If you want to apply - there's still time! Be sure to fill in an application by 9am on 20th June!

Beware of the BeCause awards - the whole thing is a scam. Three ideas were selected one of them being my own and I was leading. Then I received a rejection by email, no explanation, no runner-up info, NOTHING
All the awards run by Unltd are geared for under-25's and operate on a positive discrimination policy where they won't won't even answer queries if you don't fit their bullshit criteria.

the Youth of Generation scheme has been running in Kent for over a year now and with the aid of a very sucessful myspace site and a new bebo site.
The scheme runs gig for young people to see their local bands performing and also gives young musicians the rare oppertunity of performing in front of a large crowd.
