I must say I have been very poor at updating the gig list having missed a very busy last 2 months. but anyway here are the gigs for the rest of the summer.

Saturday 18th August - Carnlough (Nr Larne) solo show - from midday
Sunday 19th August - Kinawley (Fermanagh)solo show - from 02.00
Tuesday 21st August - Rathcoole
Saturday 25th May - Glenarm
Monday 27th August - Bangor
Tuesday 28th August - Ballycastle

Well, the summer season is more or less here. Traditionally the busiest time of the year for jugglers.
We performed at Pigeon and Plum's Cabaret at the Empire Music Hall on Thursday night - such a beautiful venue, it's always a pleasure to be on a stage rather than the street. Our volunteer from the previous time we performed at the cabaret was back again - but this time as one of the acts. She must of loved her time up on stage with us so much that she has now become a magicians assistant!
We were first act on this time which is always a tough spot, but the crowd were very receptive. Out friend Michael was filming the whole event so with a bit of luck I might get some of the footage from him.
Today we were doing walk about in Dungannon. Chris on stilts and me with my suitcase full of props doing lots of mini shows. It's amazing how many kids will sit and watch you do the same thing all afternoon.
Our old trunk has finally bit the dust - it had been falling a part for months. So Chris turned up with a shiney new box this morning - black with yellow straps to match our costumes - i'm beginning to notice a theme here.

Just finished 4 days of work and i'm aching all over. We were at the Balmoral show on Wedneday, Thursday and Friday and Mountstewart today.
9 hours on stilts at the Balmoral show really develops your calf muscles - do you get it? Balmoral..calf ?? never mind.
Any way, we handed out stacks of leaflets for Donnellys our sponsers. There are hundreds of people selling stuff at Balmoral and most of them are pleased to see you but you do get the occasional stall holder who completely blanks you because they are so much in the selling zone. The woman selling the adjustable beds didn't laugh once - even when I asked her if she did them in a bigger size!
I know some people wouldn't find an 11ft stilt walker in an indian costume the funniest thing in the world but her potential customers seemed to find it amusing - oh well, you can't please everyone.
Mountsteart is always a nice gig, beautiful surroundings and a nice audience. The weather was a bit unpredictable though and we had to squeeze the shows in between torrential showers - but hey we're street performers, you get used to these things.
