      Glasgow Mela 2009 is here. This fun filled event, will take place on Sunday 21st June from 12pm to 8pm at the Kelvingrove Park.

      Electrifying performances by Jassi Sidhu, Mona; along with local street performers, live music and dance plus many more. There is plenty to do for the whole family; from workshops to funfairs and from sports zones to authentic food stalls. So make your way to the Kelvingrove Park from 12pm to 8pm.

      Admission is FREE.

    • BREAKFAST SHOW PRESENTER/RESEARCHER

      We are looking for 2 presenters to be part of a team of three for the New Look Awaz FM Breakfast Show.

      The programme will air 5 days a week between the hours of 7:30-10:00AM.
      We are looking for people who can not only commit to these hours but are able to go the extra mile to deliver a memorable broadcast every single morning.

      As well as being On Air your duties will include:

      - Planning and preparation for the show

      - Coming up with original & innovative ideas to keep the programme format fresh

      - Delivering content in a succinct manner and keeping the listener engaged throughout the broadcast.

      Don’t worry if you don’t possess any knowledge of Bollywood or Bhangra though as all will be taken care of.
      The only thing we ask from you is that you’re committed, enthusiastic, are not shy, want to get into the field of broadcasting (or already are!!) and above all, are able to work as part of a team.

      So if you’re the person we’re looking for and you want to be part of a fast paced, action packed programme every morning then get in touch!
