Frogs!
Well, we got the last of our snow (I hope!) about a week ago and I think Old Man Winter has finally lost his grip on us. The white stuff's all melted and things are actually starting to turn green again! Plants are sprouting, flowers are blooming, the Canada Geese have returned, and... most importantly of all, the frogs are out!
I heard them today. Making a racket in our pond. Mostly wood frogs by the sound of it. I know the spring peepers'll be out in force pretty soon too though. I'm hoping we'll get some leopard frogs back this year as well. I haven't seen any for a few years now.
To me, nothing says "Spring!" like an army of frogs croaking and carrying on like there's no tomorrow. I love it!0 Comments 94 weeks

Soda bread & Irish stew
My mom made up a big batch of Irish stew and soda bread for dinner the other night, complete with Guinness. Has to be one of the most satisfying, comforting meals there is. Delicious!
Anyway, that's it! I didn't really have anything else to share. Just felt like writing a bit.
P.S. I posted some pictures of my 'pets'. Check out Zuri! Isn't she just the sweetest cow you've ever seen? She's my baby. Raised her from a calf. She's the friendliest, gentlest bovine you could ever hope to meet. She's just like a big puppy dog!

Mr. E1/22/08all classics! i used to watch a very obscure movie called starchaser: the legend of orin. i got it again recently and its just as good as i remember it!theres something so heartwarming about lookin at all the old childhood favorites. dont judge me but rainbow brite also has a high standing with me

im gonna have to see this one for myself. sounds pretty ropey but that makes it more enticing! im on a bit of a childhood movie binge at the mo. just watched the last unicorn the other night, its a guilty pleasure. im also trying to get my hand on rover dangerfield and rainbow brite!

i think there was 3 neverending stories. the third one starred a girl and made no sense and should never have happened! there was an animated series aswell if i remember correctly -

well, i have very, very vague recollections of reading the book when i was REALLY young but i love the movie so damn much! i still watch it every now and then. but im a really big fan of the 80's fantasy movie genre. legend and labyrinth dark crystal etc.
