  • Coopers Mill Summer 08!!!

The Summer camp took place once again at Coopers Mill in the Wyre forest with our friends from 1st Lye during the week of July 21st to 25th.
The weather was good to us and we and had hot dry weather for the week without even a spot of rain.
We promptly set up the campsite and settled in for the week.
The second day which was the Tuesday came round after a warm night asleep. We responded to an emergency which resulted in an ambulance being called for a nine year old boy out in the forest with his brother and uncle. The link on left side of this page has the full report to read.
On Wednesday we went to Bewdley walking through the forest and raided the sweet shop then returned to camp.
On Thursday we had more games of tracker, king of the hill, ackey running around the forest with the wildlife running away from us. The traditional Kidderminster versus Lye football match took place with Lye winning. A walk down the river was well enjoyed cooling us off and having water fights. Later on in the evening there was a camp fire with some camp concert games and storys.
On the Friday we broke camp and went home looking back on a brilliant camp and looking forward to a good shower and sleep.
Over the week we had 16 boys, 6 staff, 24 visitors and 3 dogs.

Have a look at the photos and video to see what we did.......
