Love
When you fall in love, It's really not like anything else you can experience. You could say that It's like workmen resurfacing a road; you never really thought it was anything to worry about before because you were so used to the bumps and holes, but when It's finished, everything is smoother and more comfortable than you could ever imagine.
Finding that someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with really isn't the easiest task in our lives, and the trick to solving the problem is to just stop trying, and when you think about it, love isn't so much a feeling, as a knowing, or maybe knowing is the progressive state of feeling. When you look into the eyes of the person you love, you no longer need to feel you love them, you just know. You know that when you're with them, everything makes sense, everything is calm and everything is how It's meant to be.3 Comments 400 days

Shame me once, shame me twice.
Is it fair that people get second chances? In a world where first impressions are so important that they can decide your fate in anything, are second chances being too nice? Should we heed the signs at the first wrongdoing and call it a day? Why is it that we are so kind with our feelings, yet in other ways, so ungiving? It’s not like we set out to get hurt, but ultimately, that’s what happens when we think “It’ll be better next time,” or “Things will change.” Kindness is often said to be bestowed upon those who deserve it least, but maybe those who deserve it least are those who need it the most. Maybe Rudyard Kipling was right when he said “I always prefer to believe the best of everybody, it saves so much trouble.” Everyone deserves a second chance at some point, but chances aren’t infinite, which some people don’t realise. When someone is given that chance to makes things right, or to try better next time, it would appear as common logic to actually do things better, and try harder. But somewhere down that road, common logic takes a side track and a sign for taking things granted appears quickly ahead. What if you’re the one giving the second chances? What does that make you? Does it make you naive, stupid, or just plain nice? The nice part about being a pessimist is that you are constantly being either proven right or pleasantly surprised. And at one point, maybe pessimism is all you have left. All your cynicism is given full access to your feelings because your optimism and belief in people is wasted and run down on those who never really deserved it. Maybe when we get to this point, it’s best that we stop being so giving to others with our feelings. Again, this seems pessimistic, but maybe, just maybe, giving up doesn't mean you’re becoming cynical; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go. When it comes to second chances in relationships...hearts and feelings are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting them back together.2 Comments 649 days
