God is far more than a man - God is the foundation of all that there is - reason, love, happiness, morality...

And though I will admit that I haven't experienced anything overly miraculous, people I know have seen results from prayer.

If we're weak, so what? Would you prefer it if we admitted our strength and then exploited it and destroyed each other?

Christianity is a person's admission that they are weak on their own, and from that they make room for the ultimate source of strength - God.

Those who truly and genuinely study things like evolution and the Big Bang realise that they are scientific questions, not metaphysical, and so in fact the real scientists do not discuss God or insist that evolution is contrary to Christianity.

Darwin himself was agnostic, contrary to popular belief. Here was the very person who laid the foundations of evolution theory, and he was not an atheist.

what he's saying is he follows an idea some "smart" people thought up and filled in the huge blanks they couldn't explain with "just because".
thats what the big bang is. even evoultion is nhot fully explained.
and then to try and make themselves feel better they pick on christians and call us stupid because like every bully deep down then know they're wrong.

and bees cant provide enough downforce with their wings to allow flight. science folk have no idea how they are able to fly.

It seems terribly bigoted and ignorant to think that if one has a scientific theory, one will not need to worry about where eternity will be spent.

The word I would use for putting evolution on the same level as Christianity is 'stupid'.

Newsflash: the two do not need to conflict. Have a look at my blog and save yourself from looking like a noob again.

It is not expanding *into* anything, it is empty space itself that is expanding. As the universe expanded, it cooled down. Some of the energy turned into matter. At first, the universe was so small that all this matter was like a fog that stopped light from getting any distance. After about 380,000 years, the universe had expanded enough, and the dust fog got thin enough, that the light could shine through the fog. We can still see some of this light today. Millions and billions of years later, the dust collected into galaxies etc

there's just as many holes in science as there are in religion.

hmm.. ide say that people have the right to make there own decision even though i would be appalled at what women would want to be a man or what man would in there right mind want to be a women lol. But if a person makes that type of choice, they must stick to it. There could be backfires medically or even hormonal changes in both sides that could affect not only mood but also the ability to think the way they used to.
